To Whom it Concerns:The Customer claims Escrow Network was aware of tax filing errors made in but did not correct the errors. This is incorrect. Escrow Network was first made aware of the errors on or around March 16, 2015, and made corrected tax filings on or around March 18,
The Customer asked for a refund of their escrow fees totaling $650. Escrow Network refunded the Customer's $escrow fee on March 19, 2015.The Customer also asked for a settlement equal to the amount of their Capital Gains taxes. Review: Used Escrow-Network for the sale of a Rental Condominium in 2014, where I paid Capital Gains Taxes. When the escrow closed, Escrow-Network filed State Tax Forms with errors, that were known to them, but they did not go back and correct. I found out when I filed my 2014 State Taxes, the state denied my claim for reimbursement of Capital Gains Taxes. Escrow-Network was aware there were errors made in 2014 with the filing of tax forms, but they did not notify Clients, and they did not go back to correct the 2014 filings.Desired Settlement: Escrow Network should refund me the charge for their services for this escrow ($650) as well as the entire amount of my Capital Gains taxes, if the State Tax Board does not refund, due to errors made by Escrow-Network.
