ESI Cases & Accessories Reviews (9)

I have purchased multiple Duracell charges and they have stopped charging. The one I had in my car to charge the phone my daughter plays on during drives, sparked and smoked today while plugged in and my daughter was holding it.

A few weeks ago I purchased a iPhone charger from office max which was a Duracell 10ft charger and plugged my phone in during the day and when I went to unplug it from the charger the charging piece got stuck in my phone and shocked me. I had to take the phone in to a repair shop to get the charging piece out of my phone. This was not a cheap charger and would like some answers on why this would happen because it seems to be happening a lot as now I am reading these reviews. Sincerely Angry customer...

Review: I purchases one of there car chargers that go into the cigarette lighter input. The number on the product is C5165. Its a USB charger, so there is a detachable cord that connects to the charger and then to the phone. The charger was in the cigarette lighter and my phone was not plugged into the other end charging. About 15 mins of driving down the rod, I felt my leg getting warm, I pulled over to see what was going on, as I don't have heated seats, and I look down and the end of the cord that gets plugged into my phone was melting! I immediately removed the charger from the cigarette lighter input. The end that melted has created an half inch burn mark/hole in my seat. This is a loaner car, and not my personal car.Desired Settlement: I need the company to pay for the repair to the loner car, they need to pay for the repair needed to the seat to fix the burn hole from there product melting.

Review: I purchased a pair of Uniden Headphones for my daughter for Christmas. After 4 days they stopped working. The headphones have a lifetime guarantee. On January [redacted], 2014 I contacted the company letting them know of my issues. I was asked to provide a copy of the receipt, which I did as well as a copy of the box the headphones came in with all the information showing. I was told that a replacement pair of headphones were being shipped. To date 3-**-14 I have yet to receive the replacement pair of headphones. I have emailed the company several times asking where the headphones were & have received NO response. (emails were sent on 1-**-14,1-**14,2-**-14, & 3-**14)I have resubmitted my claim to receive the replacement pair of headphones & still have not received a response from the company or the replacement pair of headphones. They seem to be avoiding replacing the item.Desired Settlement: I would like the replacement pair of headphones as agreed upon. They clearly state that there is a lifetime guarantee. Therefore they need to honor it.

Sincerely,

Review: I bought a Duracell cell phone car charge from Menards on Thanksgiving weekend. I attempted to use it in December and it broke into several pieces in my cigarette lighter, getting stuck, and then shocked me. As a result, it blew the fuse of my entire cigarette light. I was forced to go to the Ford dealership and have them replace the fuse. This resulted in $21.54 in expenses and mileage to get my car fixed. I contacted Duracell on 12/**/13 requesting reimbursement and it was forwarded to a company called ESI Cellular. I was told by a Benny on 12/**/13 that I would receive reimbursement of the 21.54. I followed up on 12/**/13 and received a response from Benny on 1/**/14 that they would mail the check on 21.54. I followed up again on 1/**/14 and received a response from [redacted]that they haven't mailed the check yet. I am starting to wonder if I will ever receive this refund or if this is a scam.Desired Settlement: I was told I would receive a check for 21.54 on 12/**/13 and I expect to receive this.

Review: On March *, 2015 I purchase a USB AC Adapter Model G0275, at 4:05 pm from [redacted] in [redacted], when I got stranded there on the way back from an appointment with a specialist for my daughter 2 1/2 hours away from home. While I charged my ZTE Majesty (a gift from my brother) the AD adapter started to melt and fried the power port of my phone. I can no longer charge my phone to use because of this. I called the technical support number on the package and the representative that answered said I had to go to [redacted] to file a complaint. Because they use [redacted] for their email option and I do not have a [redacted] account, I used the address on the email form to send an email from my [redacted] account, but to no avail. I then chose to go to the support page of the [redacted] chargers website and filled out the form they provided, and still have not heard anything from them. All I would like is to know if they are going to pay to have my phone fixed or if they are going to replace it since it was their product that caused the problem.Desired Settlement: Repair or replacement of my phone. My brother paid over 200 dollars for it when he bought it.

Review: My name is [redacted]. About a month ago, I purchased a Duracell .mp3 cassette adapter for my iPhone 4s at a store in NJ. However, to my surprise, the adapter did not work. The sound was extremely distorted and muffled at all volume levels. The problem is not with my phone or car, as other cassette adapters work. After experiencing this problem, I contacted ESI cases for support. They apologized and sent me a new cassette adapter.

Unfortunately, the second cassette adapter I received was also broken; in addition to having an extremely distorted and muffled sound, this cassette adapter was physically cracked on the side. I called ESI again, they apologized again, and I was sent a new cassette adapter.

Regrettably, the third cassette adapter I received was broken as well. The sound is still extremely distorted and muffled at all volume levels.

This is more than detestable. It is dishonest business. I purchased the product under the condition that it would work, but it does not work. The 2 replacements I received didn't work either. I never would have purchased the product if I had known how terribly inefficient it is at performing the essential task for which it is sold. This is both a despicable product and market procedure. Without consent, I paid $10 for inefficient broken products and have been given the runaround for over a month.

I would like a refund.

I have been calling ESI for over a month and I keep being told that the person I need to talk to is "in a meeting." I also keep getting told that I will "get a call back."

I haven't recieved any call back or refund after this two month episode.

[redacted]Desired Settlement: A refund of my $10.

Sincerely,

Review: Received a wireless power bank charger for Christmas. Model #PU415. Have not had the need to use it until recently. "Charged" the device per instructions, but when connected to a device to charge, it does not charge said device ie is defective. I called two days ago and left message with the model number information and contact information as directed my the voice mail prompt, but no one has returned my call. Tried to call back today, twice, using the same number, and I get an error message, "call cannot be completed as dialed" etc.Desired Settlement: If I could receive one that works or get help with fixing the one that someone gave me as a gift, I will be happy. From what I have searched online, the monetary value for this device ranges from $10-15. Replacement or refund would be sufficient.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased this particular ESI product at a [redacted] location. I exchanged this particular product from the same display on three separate occasions. Throughout this entire process, I had a series of 4 (four) different charging cables. Of these cables - none of them lasted more than two weeks. This is similar to other reports I have found elsewhere on various rating sites. The product in question is a model BL1421 30-pin iPhone charger. The model being sold at [redacted] holds no indication of any sort of safety accreditation or adherence to any quality control standards. After speaking with [redacted], I was contacted by ESI representative, [redacted]. I was assured that I would be receiving a "[redacted]" branded wire immediately as a replacement and a pre-paid envelope. [redacted] told me that this product would be of greater quality. Within a few days I received a package and in the package were two products - a [redacted] Model UN1161, and secondly a WIRELESS [redacted] Model G0228 10 foot charger. The first [redacted] charger came out of the box with the 30-pin charger installed upside down; it had a design flaw and did not work, and the second a 10 foot cable was impractical for daily use. I did not see this as an appropriate settlement of my issue. This is not what had been agreed upon, and one of the products which was sent to me was clearly defective. So at this point, this was the fifth cable that this company provided which had clear design issues and did not perform accordingly. No return envelope was enclosed as [redacted] had said there would be. I immediately called the company and requested to speak with [redacted]. I asked why he had sent me the incorrect cable, and he denied the possibility that the actual product was defective. As we spoke, [redacted] was dismissive and stated, "Watch I will get that cable back and it will work just fine." His dismissive attitude was completely out of line and disrespectful and only made my frustration with this particular brand worse. I requested that he transfer me to a superior as his behavior was inappropriate. He told me that I would be contacted by someone, and hung up on me. I have not yet heard from the company, nor have I gotten a return envelope or the [redacted] Charger as promised since speaking with [redacted]. I suspect that the products they are selling are defective on a greater scale, and it would be worthwhile to look into these products for their quality. No one should pay for a product that will last no longer than 2 weeks. I hope that other consumers speak out against this company should they themselves encounter any issues with the brand.Desired Settlement: I am seeking the replacement and review of product quality offered at various [redacted] brand retailers where ESI is a provider of such cables. I would like my returned products to be adequately reviewed, and I would like for ESI to recall affected items, as they have proven to be faulty. I would also like for them to accept my return of the wrong cables which they sent me as a settlement, and send me the cable which they had originally offered. I hope that they are accountable for the products which they provide.
