Esposito's Cleaners

Review: I brought five tablecloths in to the store for dry cleaning on 12/*/14. Two were returned to me, three are lost. I am receiving no communication from Esposito's about the whereabouts of the tablecloths, nor are they calling me with updates about their investigation, as promised.Desired Settlement: The lost tablecloths are antique family heirlooms and my preferred outcome is to have them returned to me. If that isn't possible, as seems to be the case, my desired outcome is reimbursement for their value, which is in excess of $1500.

Review: when I dropped off my daughter's $500 prom dress for cleaning, the "boys" working the counter warned that the crystals on the dress may come loose during the cleaning process. I said that was ok, I could repair them. They did not tell me that the cleaning process involved "tumbling" the dress, when the settings for the crystals may damage the material. The dress was returned with holes throughout the bodice, from the settings for the crystals. When I questioned the manager, [redacted], about the damage, he said there was nothing he could do, that the label on the dress says it should be spot cleaned only. If the label on the dress says to be spot cleaned only ( which I did not see before I dropped it off to them), why did they improperly clean it? There is a label in the dress with the number of a cleaners recommended by the manufacturer; however, that number is not in service. I called the store where we purchased the dress, and they could not recommend a cleaners. I called Esposit's before I brought the dress to them for cleaning and was told that they have a special process for cleaning such dresses. I went to Esposito's because they have been in our community for a very long time, and I trusted that they would clean it properly.Desired Settlement: I feel they should replace the dress, because I was not properly informed about the damage that could be caused during the cleaning process. Our plan was to have the dress shortened so that my daughter would be able to wear it again. In it's present condition, it is not wearable.
