I am writing in response to the complaint you received from [redacted] about our businessI gave [redacted] a verbal estimate of work to be completedAfter scheduling the work I, Eddie S [redacted] arrived at Caversham dr on May 1, to complete the work [redacted] and I marked the area out that they wanted widened and marked it with orange paintI dug out the area, installed stone, and milled the edge, and paved, then applied a hot tar jointAfter a few weeks went by she said she wasn't happy with the work and wanted it largerI explained that we don't usually do that and that's why we marked the area she wanted initially out togetherI told her it wouldn't blend well and there would be an additional seemShe said i'd pay you to come back to sealcoat it so it all matchesI told her she would still see it regardless it will look badShe then said it already looks like s***, cursing and saying we did a bad jobHer husband called me back and was nicer, we agreed to come back and widen how she wanted at no costA few months later they texted me about sealing the job, which I ignored because of the past that we had with themThey then called me and said I needed to come seal coat the drivewayI never once agreed on sealing their existing drivewayWe always recommend our customers to wait a year after we pave to sea, because new asphalt must cure yearWe have worked for of their neighbors who are all pleasedWe are local renown and appreciated business and value all our customersWe have been in business for years and have an upstanding reputationI will not go back to seal coat their driveway because I never agreed to do it for free, and I will not refund them $because I never charged them that extra amount to begin with.Sincerely,Edward *S [redacted] **

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: MrS [redacted] assured us verbally that the driveway would be seal coated sometime around weeks following completion of the driveway wideningThe widening was not to our satisfaction, and that was eventually correctedMrS [redacted] offered excuses why he felt the driveway should not be made wider to our satisfaction, but eventually after arguing his point of view he agreed At no time did Mr S [redacted] indicate that seal coating would cost extraIn fact, it was included with his verbal quote MrS [redacted] business practices seem to be a "bait and switch" where he promised something but delivered less I would also challenge MrS [redacted] claim on his year recommendation to wait for seal coating, and would ask him to produce evidence of this practiceI am reasonably certain the neighbors he alluded to were not given such advice, and were handled differently I want to continue pursuit of this matter in the amount of $This is the approximate price quote we have received to finish the job that S [redacted] has abandoned Regards, [redacted]
