These as**oles let my property go into foreclosure. They had a "rent to own" buyer and stated they would pay off the house. They stopped paying and my property went into foreclosure all while telling me that I couldn't get the property back because they owned it.
So glad they will be sentenced to prison time!

Also, the first glowing review is probably them faking it. Nobody in their right mind would ever leave a good review. Too bad I had to leave one star just to publish this review. They do not measure up to one star.

Since we have bad credit and could not qualify through a bank we were looking to buy a house through a lease purchase, since we heard that these programs are out there to help people get into a home .

Essam Asset Buyers helped us get into our home and with very little down we got into their lease purchase program and 12 months later we were able to qualify through a mortgage lender and purchased a house out right .

They helped us when our credit was very bad and they connected us with a licensed credit repair company that they work with that helped us and eventually we qualified for a mortgage loan which lowered our monthly payment with today's low rates.

Everything went very smooth and we are very happy with our home.

Review: This rent to own company asked for a $1500 deposit for a property which was falsely advertised. The property in question was at 400 Liska street in Waggaman, Louisiana. The company claimed that the house was 1200 square feet, with a large back yard, wood floors with a 25 year warranty, new roof, new ac units, no flooding, and new tankless water heater with brand new paint and appliances throughout. [redacted] also said that the nearby shipyard was expanding and adding "800 more jobs", when in fact, the ship yard in the area is shutting down and moving it's business to Pascagoula. The house was no where near 1200 square feet. The back yard and house was much smaller in person than on their video: [redacted]The back yard was much smaller than advertised. The wood floors were in fact wood laminate, not hard wood as advertised. There was no tankless water heater. It was not painted as said. It was not mentioned that the appliances would not convey, nor that the rent would not go to the down payment of the loan, which I found on their website before canceling the deal.Although I had not signed any agreements, this company is not refunding my $1500 as demanded. They wanted me to sign a 'receipt' form for the $1500 deposit that actually bound me to the transaction, which is in violation of state and federal laws. The company says that they will refund the $1500 when and if they find a buyer in the next 30 days. I contested this and asked for my money back immediately. There has been no reply.Desired Settlement: Full $1500 refund immediately or the company to be liable for court costs, fees, and damages.

At this time, I have not been contacted by Essam Asset Buyers llc regarding complaint ID [redacted]. They have broken state and federal laws by not issuing a prompt refund.
