Medicare beneficiary. The patient received treatment part of which is not covered by Medicare Part B (medical insurance). The treatment, however, is covered by Medicare Part D (prescription drug plan). The spouse was advised the patient should submit a claim to Medicare Part D. Medicare Part D does not accept claims submitted by the medical providers. The spouse was unhappy with the explanation The outstanding bill is reasonable and appropriate and we expect payment.
