In response to *** ***'s complaint, I will start with this; I am still waiting for his mortgage company to return original documents that were demanded returned over two weeks ago *** *** and I entered into a contract to restore his house after a broken water supply line broke under his
bar sink I worked to weeks on the property trying to get his insurance adjuster to settle the claim, and of those week I was waiting for his mortgage company to fund the job The day after funding was received by CCR *** *** made demands of me to finish a certain amount of work by the next Friday or he would seek alternative avenues to get his house completed I was specifically told to finish all the tile, trim, and painting of the bedrooms, and either complete the hall bath or the bar area, and this came just after I was told to not purchase any cabinets for the job According to his demands and hostile overtones, there wasn't any way I could comply with his demands, and as such, his demands made the contract untinable, and a breach of contract was made by *** *** I asked *** for a sitdown meeting in order to either fix the problem or separate, and he chose to end the contract I billed *** *** for my time and services rendered, and he still owes me $5, I set this matter with the *** County Dispute Resolution and *** *** refused to attend I have a copy of that letter Further, *** ***'s insurance adjuster interfered with the contract and assisted in the breach of contract My next step is to take this matter to court if *** *** is not willing to go through the dispute resolution process
