Tell us why he In response to the customer complaint there is more information we would like to provide. At no time were we contacted by an attorney on this matter. We did an oil change on the van on 02/20/17 with 64516 miles. The customer brought the van back on 03/31/17 with 67919 miles. At this... time we determined the van had a bad gasket on the oil filter canister which caused it to be 4 quarts low on oil in a 6 quart system. The van came back on 04/06/17 with 68032 miles with a check engine lite on and running rough complaint. It was determined the van had never had a tune up or injector system cleaning so this was performed, in addition to a coil being replaced. After this maintance was done there was still an engine miss which was isolated to the #6 cylinder on the left cylinder head. It was determined there was a technical service bulletin for this particular engine with this problem. Chrysler has a special coverage for 10 years or 150,000 miles. However we found the van had a salvage title which made it ineligible for this special policy. Since this known problem could not be covered we offered to pay half of the repairs or $950.00. The customer has not had this done. In addition the tune up and repairs done on 04/06/17, the customer has paid $100.00 of the $505.87 bill and still owes $405.87.I have met with the customer and cannot come to an agreement on resolving this complaint. We feel the oil lose could have accelerated the problem Chrysler has with this engine which would have been repaired under their special coverage however since the van is a salvage vehicle it is not eligible. Our service history shows the van was in for an oil change every 10,000 to 13,000 miles which can also lead to these problems. To try resolve this complaint we would forgive the 405.87 balance owed plus interest charges and pay an additional $1000 to a repair facility of their choice. I would leave this offer open for 30 days and then retract it. I have attached documents to substantiate the above informationre...

Revdex.com: We have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] They have given us days from the date of the offer to answer, so we still have more time to consider itWe are not ready to reject or accept this offer yet

[redacted] came to our dealership on March 20th to look at a pre-owned GMC Acadia with 117,miles that we had on the lot [redacted] and her husband test drove this vehicle, and another and decided to proceed with the Acadia She had a concern with the air bag light that was on, and was told it was bad sensor [redacted] stated that she had a mechanic that could fix it cheaper than we could and would buy the vehicle AS/IS and we came to a mutual agreement on price per her offer [redacted] came back later in the day March 20th and completed the sale On March 28th after they have taken it to their mechanic, ***’s husband and family members took to Facebook to voice their displeasure with the vehicle and our dealership No call was made to us here at the dealership to see if we could maybe remedy the situation All of our vehicles here at Essig Motors are AS/IS unless covered under factory warranty However, Essig Motors would be willing to participate in the repairs for the front tie rods, alignment and half of the labor from the bill that was sent over to us on [redacted] 6th for a total of $

I am rejecting this response because:my husband sent a message via facebook messanger [redacted] 28th to tell them we were unhappy with the purchase of acadiaThere was no responseI did not call the dealership because I was very upset and did not want to say or do anything out of angeryes I stated we would repair the airbag sensor, which I'm unable to afford since all these problems have aroseSince I have purchased the vehicle on [redacted] 20th I have paid or will pay $in work needed doneWith more work remainingI have replaced a tie rod end, a tie rod, power steering lucas, control arms, struts, a tire pressure sensor, a oil pressure sending unit and after all that had to pay for realignmentI still need to replace the airbag sensor (which I stated to the salesman I would replace), and a rack and pinyinOver the last days of owning the Acadia the first week it was drove in unsafe condition until my mechanic could look at itThe second week it set in my driveway until the work could be completedAnd the third week I was too scared to drive because it was saying it had low oil pressure and to shut off engineThey discounted the vehicle $and I'm looking at spending that in repairsThis purchase has been nothing but stressful and dangerous at times for my familyAnd its pretty bad when the vehicle you had planned on replacing with the new one (Acadia) drives better and feels safer than the one you just spend $7,onI'm not asking for them to cover all repairs I was only asking that they take part the blame for endangering my family's livesSo I'm asking to be reimbursed $for the work done and needing doneSincerely, [redacted] Marshall
