Dear Mr [redacted] , Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know of your dissatisfaction with the customer service you received We do our best to meet the needs of our applicants and residents and appreciate honest feedback to assess how well we are doing We sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the application and move in process We want to assure you that we are committed to providing our applicants and residents with excellent service, and will always strive toward that end In looking into your application for residency, we found four documents that you signed in which you agreed that the funds paid would be non-refundable I have attached copies of those documents for you to review In two of the documents, you signed that “ I understand that the holding deposit received will be retained by the management if I am unable to fulfill the conditions of occupancy.” You acknowledged that you understood that if you failed to move in, “the Landlord will suffer damages” for taking an apartment off the market to reserve it just for you As we discussed a few days ago, Essington Village was expecting you to move in and pay rent on 2/27/ When you did not move in the property suffered financial damage in lost rent The holding deposits help to defray that financial damage It is our sincerest desire that all those who visit our rental office feel they have received the best service possible To that end, we have agreed to limit the amount retained to reimburse Essington Village for their lost rent Essington Village will work very hard to minimize the loss and we have agreed to give you a partial refund We want to thank you for choosing Essington Village Apartments While we regret that you were unable to move in, we wish you and yours all the best with your job transfer and in your new home Sincerely,

Essington village Apartments the manager in the complex is races against Latinos the whole complex is full with blacks and zomali and when we tell him we have a problem or issues with thi gs that need fixe he wants to do it whenever he feels like it my daugther is been severe sick she ie Has been times in the hospital she has not had her ac working for a month the people at the office are very rude towards latin people as I said before even the office workers are black there no White's, Latinos, or any other race in the office or the complex this complex has change several times staff I feel discriminate my daugther feels the same way she rents here in another unit she feels discriminated due to her age and also for been a letino the people at the office dont respect her and the manager knows about and he dont do nothing about it I as a mother try to make them reason towards my daugther I tell them if your daugther was in my daughter's place you will not like it right I try to reason but is no a win battle please do something about agai s the discrimination and all the other issues thank you for your time

This issue is being resolved via eviction court on July 9, 2014. This is eviction for non-payment of rent.
