7,000 in his listing area. However, it was explained via several emails, that this type of sale is not right for our site and we are not able to allow it. From the initial email sent to Mr. White and his replies, he never answered the questions presented to determine if the sale was a store sale, which we do not allow. We determined his refusal to answer basic questions about the sale, was an indication he was aware the sale wasn't a fit for our site. Mr. [redacted] suggested that we should have offered to help change the language so as to not be a "turn off to your subscribers" to which we refused, as we view this as misleading to customers and false advertising.
Our system is automated to accept a sale and payment for private sales (which this one was), and then reviewed by one of our customer support team for errors, formatting issues, as well as its viability for our site. Based on these details, he was refunded the $49.95 charge immediately, as we do not keep money when a service has not been provided.
Mr. [redacted] states that he's been to several sales that were inappropriate for our site. I reviewed the five, not ten, sales that Mr. [redacted] presented, and only one appeared as miscategorized. Given that we have, at minimum, 10,000 to 15,000 sales listed per month, we understand that there are some sales that will get through the cracks.
