More of the same poor service: I ordered a Kayak from *** *** * ***, and they used Estes Express to ship it to me *** *** * *** told me in an email to contact the Mobile, Alabama Estes Express office in order to schedule the delivery of the Kayak (it was required that somebody be present and sign for the delivery) On June 17th, I spoke to a lady at the Mobile Estes office and she scheduled the delivery for June 21st between 1:and 5:pm So, I took a half day off work and waited at home on June 21st until 4:pm At that time I called the Mobile Estes office to check on the delivery The lady confirmed the scheduled delivery date on their books, but then told me that they didn't even process the kayak thru their Mobile warehouse until noon that very day, and that it couldn't go out for delivery to me until tomorrow (the 22nd) So, I asked her why nobody called me this morning to let me know so I wouldn't waste a half day of leave from work She didn't have an answer, and didn't even offer an apology So, I had to ask her: if I had been her mother, would she have called me to let me know, or would she have let her mother waste half a day of leave as well? She didn't say anything ...and that's it people; a company that treats it's customers the same way it would treat family deserves starsCompanies that don't care aren't worth ***! The only reason I gave Estes stars is because the Estes truck driver was nice enough to help me carry the kayak from the street to my house, and that was nice of himAs far as *** *** * *** goes, they had the kayak that I wanted at the very best price And they had a great instructional video on what to expect, and how to handle the shipment, etc But, I hope they use their power to influence the business practices of Estes, or else use a different shipper

I was very satisfied with the delivery I just received The driver called to let me know he was on his way When he arrived he was very nice and professional He placed the shipment in the garage as I had requested with no problemThank you!!

This company lost our freight and will not reimburse us for the lossThey know they lost it and are standing on a technicality to keep from paying us restitution

Worst company in the businessThey came to pick up a treadmill twice and walked away twiceThey are blaming *** saying that its not packaged properly*** says since I'm the end user it's not my responsibilityNow they refuse to take my calls

I had a gallon drum being delivered and called Estes Trucking to provide all the details for my deliveryI asked that the truck have a lift and explained the delivery situation and then scheduled the deliveryFirst delivery date Estes Trucking was a no show and no phone callSecond delivery date they show up with a truck with NO lift so they cannot get the drum out of the truck, Third delivery date they are again a NO show I called to re-schedule and they told me they would call me back when they figured out where the drum was and why it was not deliveredI needed the product days ago I went to great lengths to make sure they had every detail to make sure this was a smooth deliveryIt's been hours since I last spoke with Estes Trucking and they still cannot find my 55-gallon Drum

While picking up our pod from our home, the operator smashed into our house and caused damageNumerous calls and emails have been sent off to the company, and no one will return our calls much less come look at the damage and formulate a plan to fix/repairIt has been nearly two weeks! This is unacceptable behavior on the part of this companyI will never use this company again or recommend ANYONE to even consider it

This complaint is in regards to Estes claim #***. This delivery receipt was signed for clear. Subject to inspection is never a valid damage/shortage exception. Carrier liability is established by notations on the delivery receipt at time of delivery. The customer
always has a right to inspect their packages and if they feel necessary, they can refuse the delivery. We have offered 1/as a good faith compromise settlement offer and I will agree to offer 1/to settle this matter amicably. Thank you,

I really want to give thanks to the hard work and dedication from EstesWe have had a complicated move,
and alone that is full of stressWorking with this company has been a blessingThey have taken the worry out of how to move our householdThere prices were by far the best, not only was that a benefit the knowledge and understanding have been priceless!
I did my research before this move, I strongly recommend Estes to anyone needing moving services

Received a compressor today from *** *** *** *** using Estes as a freight carrierScheduled delivery was set up by EstesDriver (Robert I believe) called ahead stating when he would be arriving and was on timeHe was very courteous and placed the compressor where I wanted it I was a bit concerned because of other reviews but my experience has been nothing but positive

In May I went to PODS website because I was movingBullet point #stated "We pick up the PODS container and deliver directly to your destination or our secure PODS storage center"They picked up the POD and stored it over years at a cost of over $When I called to have the POD delivered to my destination, they told me they do not deliver to Port HuronI would not have used them had they said so at the beginningThere was no disclaimer on the website stating they only deliver to certain areasI am only minutes from the warehouseI could have paid less for the service I received, but I paid more for the advertised convenienceAt an additional cost, I had to hire two men and a truck to drive down and pick my belongings up from the warehouse in WarrenI felt cheated and deceived by the advertising on the websiteThis deception must stop to protect others from being lied to and paying more for what they think they are gettingI believe they breached contract

I have sent his information over to my Safety Dept and they will be in touch with the customer

I'm years old and have worked with many delivery services and express linesThis is by far the worst I've ever used
I'm a VA caregiver for a paralyzed vet, I assisted him in ordering a storage shed from *** ***The shed was via Estes express linesThe shed was coming to Glendale,az and was in Phoenix,az ,on the internet web site, on 4/
On Monday afternoon I called Estes express lines to check on delivery as the web site said delivery on or My wife had a doctors appointment on the so want to see about whenWas told it was to be delivered on the 14thMy wife changed her appointment to the 15th
Monday afternoon 13th called estes express lines in Phoenix,az and was told it would be delivered on the 14thIt also appeared on line as delivery on 4/11:on 14th called Estes and was told the order was for delivery on the 14th but they didn't see an out for delivery noticeTold to contact *** at extention ***did so and she told me I hadn't called them to schedule a delivery.I had called on the 13th even though *** *** said they were to call me and they didn't*** would not schedule a delivery around my wifes doctors visit on the 15th so they will hold it till 16th
When I called them on the 14th to check on delivery at 11:AM was put on hold, at 12:00pm I was hung up onHad to call back and leave a message for ***

Never have I ever had conversations like the ones I have had with Estes I've been calling to track my small box that left Las Vegas on 12-17- On 12-I found out that they have had my package in Phoenix, AZ for the last days Why? They don't know Silence Anything else we can do for you? Why yes, can you find my package and call me? SureObviously I received no call backCall again on 12-31-and was told the package was in Memphis, TN WHAT? It skipped right over ***, ** where we are and went to TN?
When will we get it? Sorry, you'll need to call your shipper for that information HUH? You can tell me what your plans are with my package? NoSorryHow about putting me on hold and calling Memphis to see if they know anything OKDUH!!!!
She comes back on the line and says we'll see package on Monday 1-4-Whether we get it or not will not change the fact that NO ONE should ever use this company They do deserve to stay in business The world would be better served without them

I recently ordered a slide for my daughter's treehouse from ***, After placing order, I got a phone message from Estes only days later saying they had package and wanted to sdeliveryI thought this was great and called back the same day and they informed me they could only deliver in my area (rural area in VT about minutes from Albany, NY) on Mondays (this was almost a week out...but was still well within delivery timeframe...so no big deal) I had to be present from 10-to accept delivery I waited all day...nothing I called the next morning...was told their records showed they left a message and call was never returned I relayed entire conversation...and they verified fact that they only delivered in my area on Mondays and other details...but still acted as if I was at fault, since I didn't have name of person I talked to They said they couldn't deliver until the next Monday...however, mentioned the reason was that Mondays are when smaller trucks go out to the more rural areas where bigger trucks might not be able to navigate...if they could unload from semi they could come the next day Although we live on a rural route, the roadway is quite wide and clear, semis have stopped on edge of road and unloaded deliveries in the past, and there are lots of turnaround places...so told them I thought that was possible So they set up to deliver next day...no time given...but they said they'd give a minute courtesy call I sat around...finally went out to mow the lawn about PM for two hours...of course, when I came back in I had messages Two were from truck driver...said he was almost in area and couldn't find my address (his message indicated he had transposed two of the three numbers in the route...I confirmed my input of address was correct...and, in fact, the dispatcher later confirmed address on invoice was correct) He said that since I wasn't answering the phone, he was going to have to skip by me I also had message from dispatcher saying since I wasn't home as agreed, I would be charged a delivery fee I called in...was told I was too late...driver had moved on...and was again told I'd be accessed a delivery charge for not being present I expressed my frustration that I had been home and now had lost two days because of two errors on their part (the opportunity cost of these two days of lost productivity/income far exceeded cost of slide)...and, further, I was now being threatened with a delivery charges They passed me to someone who I took as a supervisor who said he would see what he could do and call back I never got a call back I called the evening of next day and the woman I talked to told me the computer showed I had been scheduled for delivery for the following Monday (guess nobody was going to tell me) Again, I had to be home from 10-(third day of lost productivity) They did finally delivered at on that third try (in a rented *** truck...?) The box was covered with no less that a half dozen stickers that said this box had left warehouse in perfect condition...but it was badly mutilated Two friends who happened to be there at time and helped me with the unload found this extremely humorous...it was that bad Luckily, the slide of solid plastic was not affected...but if it had been anything less solid/sturdy it surely would have Final catch was the box was sitting on a 10-ft wooden pallet in the truck...driver said I was required to take pallet too and was up to me to dispose of it What? In end, slide cost me far more than double advertised cost (because of lost opportunity cost of time spent sitting at home)...not to mention lots of frustration

We have settled this claim amicably.
