Estes Park Rent-A-Car

The rental car was in poor condition, gas pedal stuck, a/c did not work, car smelled like smoke.

I called Estes Park rental car on 6/15/13. The owner, [redacted] stated he was not able to drop a car off to me at the hospital , but I could walk to rental shop after work to pick up vehicle. Paperwork was signed at 1400. At 1945, I arrived to the rental lot to find a 2005 Chevy Avio. It had different hub cabs on all wheels, A/C did not work, gas pedal stuck, and car smelled of cigarette smoke. I reported to rental car dealership, and did not keep the rental car through 6/19/13. I was being charged $50 day, for an old car. Upon return of the vehicle, I was told that if the gas tank was not full, I would be charged $9 gallon. These prices are outrageous. I have a rental with enterprise and I am only being charged $28 a day, and to refill the tank is only $3.33.

This is clearly not safe practice. As an RN, and working down in the ED, we see many MVA's come in. These cars need to be in good working condition. This is a disgrace to our community, and this business, needs to be closed down.
