I assumed when I renewed online that etags was part of the DMVYou know what they say about assuming....anyway, too bad I didn't look closer, and shame on Etags for price gouging Oh, and I did try to call customer service, but I was on hold for way too longPerhaps I should bill them for my time

I placed an order on a Saturday in a hurry after being directed by dmv.org (first mistake), and I found out that my mother was going to be re-registering my vehicle in the coming week at the DMVI contacted the business through email on the same night to request to cancel my order which had not yet been processedTwo days went by with no reply besides the autoreply confirming my contactOn Tuesday I received notification that my order had been processed, and another notification on the same day indicating shipmentI still have not seen a reply to my email days laterWhen I placed a call this morning I was greeted with a mumbled introduction and was told that there was nothing that can be doneIn my experience, this is an unprofessional business with poor customer serviceOne costly learning experience

I, too, ordered a renewal thinking it was an official site When completing the payment process and choosing the "Next" button, the purchase automatically goes through without a chance to see the order or the total price After receiving an email confirmation minutes later, I called immediately to cancel and was told it wasn't possible since the order was already processed What a scam!

After renewing my tags/ regestrstion over a month 1/ago I have still not recieved anythingAlthough I have remained in constant with somebody they NEVER call me back with updates, as they promise, and NEVER reply to my emails to the support staffI was told my package was lost in the mail, and now I have to go pay more money to report them lost in the mailI really am hoping the fee is a small one and that e tags is a legit web site and the dmv will see that I was at least SUPPOST to receive my tags and they were already paid for

I negative experience in the end They quoted one price and then after check out charged me and extra $which I do not think I will be able to get back I called but no answer on their customer support line I did not see they were not affiliated with the State until it was too late

My tags were expired and wasn't able to renew on the state siteIt is really hard for me to go to the DMV with my schedule (full time job plus strict pick up times for my newborn son's dayscare) so I renewed through tagsdirecI wish I had remembered to renew my tags on time so I didn't have to pay extra but I was able to renew online through this site and I got my tag card in my email the next dayi printed it and used it until I got my real tagsGreat service if you need it but renew on state site if you are renewing on time and save a few bucks

This business has a very tricky way to ask for informationFirst thing they require you to fill in the website if the vehicle and credit card data, which they keep and process right away, even if you do go to the tab to confirm the transactionYou can even go back screen by screen and delete your information, they will go ahead and process your transaction regardless
Besides, they do not let you know the cost of the transaction until you are faced with confirming or not, in which case it has no use if you do not want to proceed, they will charge you and steal your money anyway
No refunds, no cancellations are provided, so that tells you what type of business you are dealing with
They use your info and process transactions that you have not approvedOnce you submit your info, watch out

I agree with the reviews that state that this business has a very tricky way to get your info and let you know right before confirmation of the transaction the price (which is higher than the regular price you will pay the County Tag agency for your renewal, and even if you start deleting your info and going back deleting everything you entered, once they grab your info, the transaction goes like it or notThe fact that they do not refund and do not allow cancellations is quite inconvenient, and if this business were registered with Revdex.com, it will be a very good candidate to be investigated as a scam Now after they grab your info, who know what may happen next time you need to renew your car registration even if you do not access their website? My experience with this company was a total disaster, and if there is a level of dissatisfaction to be measured, mine is over 100% and surely I am talking to everyone I know to alert them about this website

Plus Etags direct charged me $3.95 for shipping and handling. That is a very expensive envelope! I assumed when I renewed online that etags was part of the DMV. In early September we bought a used van and the registration was supposed to be renewed in November. By mid-November FL DOT had **not** sent us a bill and trying to renew online proved impossible because they, for whatever reason, didn't have our insurance information therefore blocking us from renewing the registration for that vehicle. We called the FL Tax Collector office, who handles the tag renewals, and the guy said just mail us a check for X amount with the car's VIN and proof of insurance. We did that the same day and 3 weeks later the check wasn't cashed and the tag still showed as expired.
Yesterday a friend told me about eTags.com and their process took a couple minutes and boom. Tag renewed without hassle.

This site is an absolute scam. When you go online to renew your tags, this pops up and looks like an actual government site but it is not. My husband went online to renew tags for one of our vehicles and I was immediately concerned with the amount. Upon further review, it appears that this site is nothing more than a "middle man" that charges you an additional $30+ to process your registration for you when you can do it online in LESS time and save the $34!!!!! Not to mention thy ask for far too much personal information that is NOT needed to renew your tags (at least not in Florida). We have canceled our debit cards immediately and requested an immediate cancellation. However, after further research, it doesn't seem that they refund the customers they scam and who knows what they do with the information they've obtained. PLEASE make sure the site you're on always ends in .org or .gov to ensure you are not giving out personal information to anyone else.

I used etags the worst experience - they stated my tags were mailed 2 weeks before my tags expired- emailed support email NEVER never received a response- call the support number had to wait an hour for a live customer service rep- who then proceeded to hang up on me-- when some how the tags did reach my mail- the address for the registration was completely incorrect - not even a close -- do not use this company

I was very surprised to see what this compnay changed me for renewing my registration, without disclosing any of the fees on their wedsite. This company is a scam and the State of Florida shoudl not use them. One was for $19.95 and the other was for 9.95 on top of the regular state registration fee. Plus Etags direct charged me $3.95 for shipping and handling I did try to call customer service and after 15 minutes I did tlak to someone who issued a refund of $14.95. So buyer beware and once you use them you cannot cancel.

I mistakenly renewed my registration with this business, they promised me a confirmation e-mail that I never got. They charged my card already but I've heard nothing from them. My registration fee was $40.10--they charged me $68.95! Next time I will be a lot more careful and make sure I have the official registration site!
