I have had Ethoplex as my Internet Service Provider for over a year now. I have had the following issues off and on in this order:
1. Packet Loss
2. High Latency
3. Speeds Slower than packaged rating.

I have send Ethoplex vmPing data and trace route data and reports of internet browsing and online gaming behavior. Several times over the past year. I have all the data that can be looked over showing the evidence of not up to par performance of the quality of service. I have completed all the troubleshooting steps several times in the past year.

1. Shutdown all computers and router.
2. Unplug the POE Injector and wait 12 seconds and plug back in.
3. Restart Router which restarts DHC Service, DNS Service, TCP-IP Service etc.
4. Power on only 1 device on the network and check pings and speed test to Google and not Speedtest.net
Speedtest.net only shows the best case scenario that ISPs optimize their speed when pings from that website reach their servers. Test trace routes to see where the latency starts.
5. Bypass router putting only 1 device into the DMZ and test pings again and internet speeds and trace routes.
6. Tested using different ethernet cables, ensured all devices are on ethernet whenever possible.
7. Restarted phones and WiFi Service on router
8. Used vmPing to ping to internal DNS Server and localhost and no packet loss not even 1 packet dropped.
9. Used vmPing to poing to external Public DNS servers such as OpenDNS and Google.
10. Used vmPing to ping first hop on Ethoplex's Network
11. Used vmPing to ping second hop on Ethoplex's Network

I have tried everything I could think of to eliminate anything in my house that would affect internet performance. I have eliminated the possible. Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.

I am reaching out to The Revdex.com and to Ethoplex Inc. to find the improbable truth. I was not notified on changes or improvements or what exactly those improvements were. No idea on how much progress over the past year has been accomplished as far as "upgrades" I have been told lots of upgrades have been completed. However, I have yet to see any evidence of this.

I feel troubled, concerned, and really wondering what is really going on here.

Thank you for your email on this issue. We do certainly apologize for any issue you are receiving on our network, we continue to make changes on our network to better serve our customers, we truly want all customers that use our services to have the most enjoyable usage and experience. Please be sure to contact us directly first before trying to go above the normal steps to get a response. We do have Tier 2/3 support Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30pm, and after hours including weekends Tier 1 support.

We have contacted our upstream carriers on the latency issues you have seen, and I've gotten response back today that some of those high ping times are because of DDos Protection aka COPP protection on those peers seen below:

However when I ping them directly from my office they look very different

We did however have a network issue we have been working around the last 4 months and due to Weather and contractor availability, we just had completed earlier today work on one of our Northern Tower's that feeds***, that would of caused minor slowness on the network. Looking at our traffic monitoring system I do show the high latency pings you were seeing around the 21:00 to 22:00 time frame last night, however when I compare those high latency times to the same time's on the tower equipment they are not adding up. This would indicate the high latency would be coming from inside your house hold's network, either with your router, or the game you might be playing. The average latency on our network is between 30ms and 80ms. Being an internet connection in a remote area; latency is based on time the request takes to get from your connection all the way through our core network to the outside world.

Also we see you are on the 50 x 5 Mbps package, and are getting that service with no issues.

On the attached images, *** customer shows our network in a black graph, and your connection in white with the high peaks, but if it were part of our network the black lines would match and show the connection having issues, but since the white lines are just on the customer graph those latency issues don't match up with our network.
On the other attached image, krause-usage shows you have been getting the 50M service for the last 2 days with no problems.

Thanks for being a valued Ethoplex customer.

Called Ethoplex on 6/22/19 to inquire about why our internet service was slow. We established a time (9:30 on 06/25/19) for a technician to come to my home. They called to change it (11:30 of the same day). I was called at 10:30 on the 25th. Ethoplex is at my house, they are early and I am still at work!! The person on the phone assured me nothing would happen until I arrived at the house at 11:30, certainly nothing would be mounted. However, they did not honor the time they established, nor did they honor no work would be done. Ethoplex came onto my property and put up a mount WITHOUT permission and/or my presence. Not the option I wanted. I wanted to be there to discuss options, unfortunately that was not the case. The tech told me the office ordered it and the office told me the tech did it without permission.
I called Ethoplex 3 times, the 3rd time saying I was contacting the Revdex.com. Finally I received a call back (6/28/19). I was repeatedly told that there was a miscommunication between the office and the tech at my house. A technician came back to shorten the eyesore and said they would be back if I wanted to relocate things and remove one of the two mounts on my roof. He also informed me that I did in fact have options on the first day, but unfortunately, I got what I got. He would express my concerns to the office. I finally got a call from Glen, who told me that he never heard my concerns. So I wondered why the phone call. We chatted. He said I could call his direct line so we could straighten things out. He indicated that someone would be able to come to my home and relocate the mount, and take the other off the roof and patch the holes. Again another lie. I called Glen twice (7/22 and on either 7/29 or 7/30th) and left a message each time. He never returned my call.
Bottom line, I have two mounts on my house, one necessary one not. I will have holes in my roof which I do not want and now will have to be patched on my time and dime (which is unfortunate). I have been lied to by Ethoplex a minimum of 3 times (they call it a miscommunication).
I do have better service since the original visit, but not sure at what expense. I am just sad for the lying and no follow through.

Next month it will be a year since we contracted with Ethoplex for phone and Internet services and one of our locations. Almost immediately after installation and the promise of reliable service we have had problems with the phone service. We have made numerous attempts to call customer service and tech support with no success and even less follow up on our request to have the phone system and lines checked. We are a business and not having reliable phone service is a big deal. All we wanted is for someone to come out to the site and check the system, over six month past with no such luck and it wasn't until we decided that enough was enough and through 3rd party vendors the message got to *** that we would be looking to breech the contract and look for other service providers. Keep in mind that the entire time we experienced unreliable service we paid our invoices in full. When I wasn't getting anywhere with customer service or tech support I emailed *** explained the situation and that we would be looking to move on if things didn't change. It was then that I finally received an email from one of their techs stating that he wanted to fix the situation and make sure everything was working properly. When I replied back to set a date to look at the system I didn't hear back from him for about two weeks after the 3rd party vendor who referred Ethoplex to us was in communication with the president/*** and encouraging him to do something about our situation. Eventually a date was set for a meeting at the location where the phone issues were. It was my understanding that the tech and the president/*** from Ethoplex would be there as well as the 3rd party vendor to help mediate the discussion. Well not only did *** not show up the tech that did show up claimed to have never worked on the type of system we had. As the tech started to try and figure out what was going on he would call *** to give updates and feedback of the situation, so *** was available... At the end of that day the tech did fix the issue we were having for almost 8 months, if someone would have just come out when we were first experiencing the issues this all could have been avoided. The next day I emailed the tech and copied *** that we had a new and different issue with the phone lines having static noise. No response. I emailed *** again and requested a meeting with him to discuss our agreement and credits or discounts for all the months we had unreliable service but still paid the full invoices. No response. I emailed the tech again about the static sound in the phone lines and copied ***, add a message to the tech if he could ask *** if he is going to continue to ignore my requests for a meeting. No response from the tech but about a week later I get an email from *** asking how he could be of service? I again, requested a meeting with him to discuss not only the new problems we are having with the phone lines but to discuss credits and our current agreement. A couple days later *** replied asking to let him know what the problems are so they could get someone to fix them. I was at a loss for words that he was actually acting as if he didn't know anything that was going on even though I know he did just from me personally telling him but from the techs talking to him and the 3rd party vendors talking to him. This let me know all I needed to know. this *** is not concerned with our satisfaction with his service and we are definitely not valued as a customer as long as we kept paying those invoices. So my last reply email was that I would not authorize any more payments for the phone system until I got either a meeting with him or a significant response to my requests or to be released from the service agreement. This was over two weeks ago on 07/05/18, no response from ***.

I did get an email out of sheer coincidence on 7/18/18 asking for more clarification of what the problems are. I can't believe that he would actually ask that since I have explained the problems over and over. I replied with another explanation of the problem and asked him to feel free to call so he could hear the problem first hand. No response back.

Desired Settlement: Other (requires explanation)
Ultimately we want out of the service agreement without having to pay the early termination fee or fix the problems with the phone lines and give us credit for all the months we paid while not receiving adequate service.
