lots of money, signed a contract, did not get what we expected. No itemized list of where the money went. electrical, flooring, kitchen cabinets, counter tops, painting. They were all general terms, as electrical, or materials, mechanical, or finishes. at the end had to pay additional for moving ac vents, plumbing, when walls came down. Did not get as stated in contract permits. Along with porta potty and a dumpster. Lots of trash left around almost daily. Found human waste under house from worker after checking work done under my home! Did not get appliances (small print) as expected. Did not get the microwave cabinet as expected, nor the correct edge on the countertop we had picked out. Many other things too, Bottom line lots of red flags but a signed contract. They are nice people, but you can be in the room, and they ignore you as they are aware of issues you presented to them. Recommend other contractors.

I do not recommend ETL, and I warn you about employing them for the following reasons:
1. Charge too much (They double the price of materials.)
2. Used wrong materials (Used wrong type of paint for the area twice)
3. Did not do agreed upon work (Water damaged wood was to be replaced when refinishing floors, and they did not replace the warped wood in some areas.)
4. Do not stand by their work (did not correct errors)
5. Billing does not include brand names of materials (need to talk to composite deck materials company, and they will not provide that information)
6. Installed exhaust fans with wrong size vent pipes. (Have to get redone proper installation)
My job was a large one and several smaller ones, total over $150,000. I warn you that once the bills are paid, they are gone, nonresponsive, not accountable. I was a good customer; paid the bill the day it arrived; did not micromanage. I trusted ETL to do excellence, to be honorable, and they were not. I warn you again not to use them. Their work is 50%, and their charge is 200%.

We payed incrementally as the work was done and was finished in August. We have asked for a receipt for the entire period repeatedlyreceived none.
We have asked for a receipt from ETL many times, via telephone, and are told that we *** get a response, but we never do. We need a single receipt for this $45K project, for future tax purposes. In addition, we paid out of pocket to complete the work (install a special lock), but was never reimbursed for this portion of the original contract.
