Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 9, 2015/10/27) */ I fixed his stereoIt has nothing to do with the batteryHe called me two months after I fixed the stereo claiming that I had damaged it when I fixed his stereoWhy would he wait two months? His battery is badIt has nothing to do with my work he just needs to get it replacedI even told him to bring the car so that we can take it to a dealer to be inspectedI told him that if the battery was just bad that I would make him pay me for damages he is causing to my business' imageHe never brought the car in to me after thatHe is trying to take advantage of my business Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 11, 2015/11/02) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) First it is incorrect that the stereo has "nothing to do with the battery." [redacted] said so himself when stating that even when the engine is not on, and the stereo looks like it is off, the stereo is drawing energy from the battery, so that you can eject CDs, etc A simple Google search will reveal that a stereo (especially run while the engine is not on - the practice that [redacted] used during installation to access the stereo components, then test the stereo and mulplayer) can indeed impact battery life (see https://www.esurance.com/info/car/why-car-batteries-die) Second - his time is incorrectHe says "two months" when it was actually days (9/to 10/as specified in the detailed complaint) and I clearly outlined on the phone and in my complaint why I "waited." Third - he did not say "bring it in to take to a dealer to inspect." He said (yelled) he would get his own mechanic to inspect it, and then concluding that they were unconnected, would sue me for legal fees, damages, etc Fourth - given that [redacted] has the money, in cash, for the work performed, I do not see how that is "taking advantage of his business." I first asked for simple assistance with troubleshooting a problemHe refused and threatened lawsuitI then, same day, reported the unprofessional behavior

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
First it is incorrect that the stereo has "nothing to do with the battery." *** said so himself when stating that even when the engine is not on, and the stereo looks like it is off, the stereo is drawing energy from the battery, so that you can eject CDs, etc
A simple Google search will reveal that a stereo (especially run while the engine is not on - the practice that *** used during installation to access the stereo components, then test the stereo and mulplayer) can indeed impact battery life (see https://www.esurance.com/info/car/why-car-batteries-die)
Second - his time is incorrectHe says "two months" when it was actually days (9/to 10/as specified in the detailed complaint) and I clearly outlined on the phone and in my complaint why I "waited."
Third - he did not say "bring it in to take to a dealer to inspect." He said (yelled) he would get his own mechanic to inspect it, and then concluding that they were unconnected, would sue me for legal fees, damages, etc
Fourth - given that *** has the money, in cash, for the work performed, I do not see how that is "taking advantage of his business."
I first asked for simple assistance with troubleshooting a problemHe refused and threatened lawsuitI then, same day, reported the unprofessional behavior
