I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***Please add your rejection comments belowBusiness never responded after the signing of the *** ** ***We talked to the Receptionist on several occasions (***) and she did not state that they would be on vacation for weeks. She would put us on hold and evidently talk back and forth with *** or her husband and tell us that she was working on itWhen you have an accountant file your taxes, they are to stand by you and rectify any problems. They are not susposed to leave matters hanging and not discuss with their clientsI had to call both the State of RI and the *** and take care of this myselfI had to fax copies of all documents to themThe accountant never returned any of our calls until I told them that I would be contacting the Revdex.comAs I mentioned, I called them constantly for over month to get informationDue to this I was just notified that my State Return was receiced (after I faxed it for a second time) and will be receiving within 2-weeksWe filed on 4/1/There was amble time for the account to straighten this matter outI therefore feel that I should indeed receive a refund for the aggrivation and having to do the work myselfAll they did is figure out the taxes and send send it (although the *** states it never went through)

The customer’s dispute is with the filing of her 2014 Individual Income Tax Return.  Eunis & Associates CPA, Inc. was engaged to prepare said return for client.  As such, we utilized all information provided to us by the taxpayer to prepare the return.  Per our engagement letter,...

signed by the taxpayer,  the return was completed accurately and e-filed as such.  We received a notification that the return was rejected due to someone else filing a return with [redacted] social security number already.  At that point we printed a hard copy of the tax return, as that is the only way the Internal Revenue Service will accept the return.  We did indicate that if [redacted] signed a [redacted], we could represent her before IRS to resolve the matter.  However, this would be an additional and separate engagement with our firm.  Per our original engagement letter, we were to prepare the 2014 Individual Income Tax Return and Resident State Return with all supporting schedules.  That was complete.[redacted] contacted the office and signed the [redacted].  Our staff indicated that my business partner and wife, [redacted], CPA and me were on vacation and this would not be handled for approximately 2 weeks. Upon our return, we reviewed the situation and determine that we would indeed need a separate engagement letter for this case.  Again, we completed all tasks associated with the original engagement.  The original engagement letter indicates that if there arises a situation and the tax return is audited or the client receives other correspondence from this filing, we are available for representation at specific stated rates.  If, however, we are at fault for an error, we would not charge the fees. As such, someone else filing under [redacted] social security number, i.e. Identity Theft, is through no fault of Eunis & Associates, CPA, Inc.  Her claim for full refund is not warranted as we fully performed the services requested with an utmost professional manner and accuracy.Our Managers spoke with [redacted] on more than one occasion to explain the situation as such through no avail.  Apparently her comprehension of what actually happened was skewed.We are available for contact should you need to speak with us at ###-###-####.In closing, Eunis & Associates CPA, Inc. prides ourselves on customer service and satisfaction.  Our record stands on its own.  This is certainly upsetting, however there is no merit to this derogatory filing.
