Review: Based on the contract, Euro Design installed the office desk/cabinet for us and according to our records below, the following events took place but the defect were never repaired which started occurring within a month of the installation. However, due to the defective symptom of the product where paint started to peel off, we requested Euro Design to repair the desk or refund our money.

April 4, 2013 - Contract was signed and deposit of $2125 was paid.

April 29, 2013 - Cabinet was installed and payment of $1125 was paid with check.

May 31, 2013 - Spoke to [redacted] (Sales Representative) and informed her about the paint peeling off from the desk; sent her the picture via SMS.

June 4, 2013 - Spoke to [redacted] (Sales Representative) and sent her the picture of paint coming off the desk again. When asking about the last payment, [redacted] stated to hold off the payment until the problem is fixed and was assured that it will be fixed by **.[redacted] immediately.

June 14, 2013 - Made another follow-up call with [redacted] requesting for an update but no update was provided.

July 1, 2013 - You (**.[redacted]) finally called and came to my residence to inspected the desk. Upon inspecting, I was told that I am using some sort of chemical on my forearm which is causing the paint to come off but it will be taken care of.

August, the entire month - No one from Euro Designs contacted me.

September 9, 2013 - Tried to contact but no response.

September 11, 2013 - Finally received a call back and I was provided with an appointment for September 23, 2013.

September 23, 2013 - I never received a call or anyone from Euro Designs showed up for an appointment.

September 26, 2013 - I received a call from you (**.[redacted]) stating someone will be at my house within 2 hours but the appointment was on September 23, 2013. I told **.[redacted] that I was on a conference call and will get back to you as I just could not simply get up and leave the office.

September 26, 2013 - **.[redacted] left me a voice mail on my cell phone threatening to place a lien towards my house if I did not pay the last installment which I was advised not to pay until this issue was resolved. I have the voice mail saved for my record. I had posed few questions to you when **.[redacted] came to inspect the desk but never received any response from him:

1. What chemical do you think can cause the paint to come off that you think I am using? At this day and age, everyone uses some type of skin lotion which is safe for human skin.

2. Is this a symptom of a possible health hazard?

3. Is it possible that this product is defective as the paint started to come off immediately after it was installed?

4. Due to these defective symptoms; am I exposing my skin to these toxic paint that is wearing off and getting into my skin that may lead to some type of skin disease or cancer?

All I wanted was a functioning desk with no defects and **.[redacted] has been least responsive with my requests and has straight out bullied me throughout this transaction. Please help!!!Desired Settlement: I would like Euro Design to repair the desk or take their product back and refund my money at the earliest.

[redacted] bought her office from us on April 4th of 2013. Euro Design personnel installed her office on 29lh of April and finished installation on 30th. [redacted] gave us a second payment on 29th. We did not hear anything about the paint problem till [redacted] (the sales person) called her to collect the final payment of $1000 which was due a month after the installation. She told [redacted] she would not pay us till we fixed the wood edge on her countertop.

I went to [redacted]. [redacted]’s house to check the damage on the wood edge. The damage was at the open area (see attached drawing) where her chair was and had about 10" length. I touched the paint and it felt gummy and could easily be scarped off with finger nail. I touched the paint at about 20" on either side of the damaged area and it felt real solid and strong, this is how it is supposed to be.

I told [redacted]. [redacted] that this paint has came in contact with some kind of a chemical and I Suggested that most likely it was nail polish remover which has acetone and can dissolve the paint. I mentioned to her that this must have happened at their house and it was not a product defect. She seemed to be offended and kept saying she was very careful and would not do such a thing. I told her I was not (suggesting that she did it, all I was saying that it has happened some how at their house. I even mentioned that the rest of the paint was in great condition and absolutely nothing wrong with it.

We sent [redacted] a letter on October the 2na (see attached copy). In the letter we again explained our reasoning and asked her to pay the balance. Otherwise, we would be forced to put a lien on her house to collect the balance and any expense arising from the collection process.
