*** *** brought to our shop a GMC Truck 4wd, V-8-The customer supplied followingparts: camshaft, cam gear, lifters, chain kit and gasketsIn previous discussions in person and by phonethe customer was informed that the camshaft would need to be a towing camshaft not a
sportperformance camshaftThe customer informed the shop that the truck was over heating while towing.The customer was advised that the radiator was plugged and could not be cleaned or repairedAthicker core radiator ( for towing a large trailer) would be needed and was approvedDue to the ageof the vehicle the parts stores did not have a shroud or mountsThese parts were found at salvageyards
Also noted the vehicle had the following: fouled spark plugs, PVC hose, plugged up causing oil leaks,harmonic balancer seal leaking, oil lifter housing leaking, heater hose leaking, oxygen sensorwas black, fuel filer was plugged up and many hoses in bad shapeThese items were not charged laboron the invoiceWe spend many hours going over the vehicle because of idle problems and running toorich
On 5/9/was still working on the vehicle when Mr.*** came to the shopHe was having thevehicle towed to another shopThe tow truck was already here on the street waitingI gave *** the billHe asked if I took payments"No" I replied as I am not a bank*** ***'sgirlfriend offered to pay the pay bill, he , (***) told_her no*** *** said the following "I have no other choice other than to file bankruptcy you will have to take me to small claims court."I replied " Did you plan from the beginning not to pay this?" *** *** in a threatening violentmanner, "You do not want to fight with me" responded
I called the shop where the truck was towed to for their diagnosis which was the camshaft was too big.This was the cam shaft the customer suppliedNo funds have been received by Euro-Mek Foreign Autoand vehicle is gone

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:Those statements are completely false. I did not say the truck was overheating while towing. Tony suggested that I replace the radiator because it was draining slowly when he began the job. I had told him that the truck was running at to degrees while towing uphill. As confirmed by the other shop I have used, that temp is to be expected while towing uphill and is within limits. I never became agressive or even upset with Tony while on the premises of Euro-Mek. Tony had called me a liar and I had told him that those were fighting words and that he was not going to get anywhere with me in that department. I never claimed to have to file bankruptcy and have no plans to do so at this time. Tony's statements are completely and totally incorrectSincerely,*** ***

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
Euro-Mek caused the problem of a camshaft being installed that was too big for the truck's computer to manage.  Euro-Mek should have bought the correct part or varified that the part purchased was the correct part before starting the job.  Euro-Mek installed my original transmission cooler as an engine oil cooler, showing incompetance which caused me to require another one to be installed properly, which they want to charge me for again.  Euro-Mek installed an extra large radiator without my consent which required aditional parts and fabrication.  The installation of the wrong camshaft caused the spark plugs to foul during diagnosis and again needed replacement after I removed the truck from their possession.  All repairs other than the camshaft were done without my consent in an attempt to diagnose an idling problem caused by the instalation of an incorrect camshaft.  These repairs I am refusing to pay for.  I would agree to pay the cost of a "stock-size" radiator, which I could have easily installed my self, but no more.
