In response to Mrs. [redacted], we have done several repairs on this vehicle. The first visit 11/10/2014 was in regards to a rough running condition and power steering issue. We replaced the power steering rack and pinion and replaced 1 ignition coil (this vehicle has 6 ignition coils in...

all). These problems were a result of age, wear, and a lack of maintenance. Mrs [redacted] returned on 5/6/2015 with a problem concerning an oil leak which was not related to the previous problems. We replaced the valve cover gasket which were pouring oil on the exhaust manifold causing it to smoke. We also replaced a coolant expansion tank which was cracked and leaking coolant and the crankcase valve which was cracked and causing a vacuum leak. The valve cover gaskets were leaking because the material had dried and deteriorated causing them to leak. The expansion tank was leaking because it had a crack in it. The expansion tank is made from a plastic polymer which breaks down with heat and age. The crankcase valve was leaking due to the rubber material breaking down from oil exposure.  Mrs [redacted] returned on 6/05/15 with a complaint of smelling burned oil. Upon inspection we discovered that a seal plug in the rear of the cylinder head was leaking. This plug was not leaking on the previous visit. It was hard and cracked. We replaced it. On Friday 6/12/2015 I received a call from Mrs [redacted]. She explained her car "would not go over 40" and also it was running rough with the check engine flashing. I advised her to stop and I would send a tow truck to pick it up at my expense if it was anything pertaining to anything that was our fault. I waited at the shop until her car was delivered to me on Friday @ 7:55 to do a preliminary inspection. Upon inspection I discovered one of the ignition coils had gone out. We replaced the ignition coil this morning and the car is fine. The fact that she has visited us 3 times is irrelevant since each visit was for a different problem.  We have not charged Mrs. [redacted] for anything that she did not first approve. All services performed on her vehicle were necessary and fairly charged. None of these problems are related to one another and could not be foreseen. I cannot get Mrs [redacted] to understand that this vehicle is 12 years old and is in need of maintenance. These cars require regular maintenance to keep them in top running condition per Volkswagen Audi Group.(which has been neglected) I feel I have gone above and beyond to satisfy Mrs [redacted] on several occasions. We are a business built on integrity and honesty. We have nothing less than 5 star reviews and all of our clients are more than satisfied with the service we provide. I am very sorry that Mrs [redacted] feels this way. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me at 229-236-3343. Please see attached invoices from Mrs [redacted]s visits to our facility.Thank You,[redacted]Owner @ European Edge LLC
