To whom it may concern  ,  We've expected this complaint since in the first 10 minutes of being in Mr [redacted] house he threaten us to call the District Attorney and Revdex.com on us ! The refinishing on his floors happened not how he states because of our fault , it happended...

because the painters fault , that's why the paining company is paying us to resfinish the floors . They ve spilled a few drops of paint on the existing floors before they were finished . Drops of paint that we could not get out and actually were imposible to see before we did the last coat on the house . So this was not a warranty issue at all . This is a builder staying behind their product and agreeing to go beyond to make their customers happy ! So after Mr . [redacted] threaten the builder with a lawsuit even it was never neccesary to get to that because the builder , Mr . [redacted] told him that it will be taken care of we went back to refinish his floors . I ve told him that we did not put tape on his ceiling because I was afraid of peeling the paint from the ceiling and then I would have to repaint them . But we did covered All his furniture  with plastic and I'm sure he can attest to that  . First issue was that we ve used his power from the drier in his laundry ( only place in a house that has 220 power that we use for our machines . He called me to complain that how did we dare to use that power . I ve talked with the builder telling him that I don t feel comfortable how Mr . [redacted] talks to us and with my guys and he advised me to just let it go and not pay attention to him , because he was advised the same by Mr . [redacted] wife . In the first two night the homeowner called my cellphone at 9 pm until I had to answer the phone ( I was afraid that something major happen at the house )  to complain about two pieces of blue tape that were in his bushes . Going as far as taking them from the bushed ,putting them on the deck just so he can blame us the next day that we specifically threw those small pieces of tape back in his bushes . The doors upstairs were locked making our job of sanding the floors that go right near his doors almost impossible so not sure why he is saying that we left the doors open when he locked them with a key .As for the cleaning company , European Floors did not hired anybody or subcontract anybody to clean his floors , we recomended a cleaning company that went there to see the job and after they've talked with the homeowner decided not to do the job because they did not liked his demeanor .  I've been in the flooring business for 15 years now and I've never had to deal with a person that puts everybody that he talks to down like that . My guys , my friends none of them wanted to work on this house because the way we were treated especially since we were there to fix somebody elses mistakes and make them happy  . We don't feel that we owe Mr . [redacted] anything else . We are sorry that he thinks we did such a bad job even before we started  ( like I said in the first ten minutes of us being in his house he threaten us that his next phone call will be the District Attorney and Revdex.com )  and we hope he will enjoy his new hardwood floors for many years from now !

Following is my response to European Floors comments – I just copied statements from that response.Go ahead and remove the request for reimbursement of the hotel costs – I will pursue that in small claims court if necessary.  You can see from my responses that European Floors presented a lot of undocumented, contradictory, and false statements.  European Floors:  We’ve expected this complaint since in the first 10 minutes of being in Mr [redacted] house he threaten us to call the District Attorney and Revdex.com on us!Response:  False.  I was not at my property when the crew started on Saturday, Oct 8.  And Dan was NOT there when I arrived.  I certainly wish I could have been there – they would not have started without covering everything European Floors promised they would.  Re the attached document “M[redacted] VZW Call Log_100816” and the incoming call at 12:49pm, ###-###-####.  That was Dan calling me after I got to the home and discovered his crew was sanding the floors and the only items partially covered were the furniture we moved to the carpet and some of the upper kitchen cabinets.  It was during that call I told him of my intentions since he failed to meet the commitment to “cover everything” that he stated numerous time during his visit Friday, Oct 7 at 8am.  European Floors:  The refinishing on his floors happened not how he states because of our fault, it happened because the painters fault, that’s why the paining company is paying us to refinish the floors.  They’ve spilled a few drops of paint on the existing floor before they were finished.  Drops of paint we could not get out and were impossible to see before we did the last coat on the house.Response:  Correct, but contradicts.  The painters did spill white paint on the wood floor and apparently did not advise the builder.  But “a few drops of paint”?  You think we would have gone thru that chaos and mess for a few drops of paint?   There were 32 paints spots on the upstairs hallway and 26 downstairs.  I counted them during the year as I would mop the floors with Bono.  And white paint spots on dark wood?   They stood out like stars on a moonless night.  Ray Charles or Stevie Wonder could have seen them.  Yes – the painters were at fault – but his crew should not have applied the final coat over the VERY visible paint spots.  And how does he know they could not get the paint spots out if “they were impossible to see”?  Right.  European Floor:  So after Mr. [redacted] threaten the builder with a lawsuit.Response:  False.  Unless European Floors can provide documentation on this they better be careful of libel.  I did not threaten [redacted] with a lawsuit – I had my lawyer write them a letter confirming they were going to refinish the floors because they ([redacted]) had not responded to my calls, emails, or other communication on that subject.European Floors:  But we did covered ALL his furniture with plastic and I’m sure he can attest to that.Response:  False.  They only partially covered some of the furniture on the carpet – NONE of the items were completely covered – not even close.  They did not cover the book cases in the Living Room, the blinds, the lower kitchen cabinets, or the shelves in the pantry.   Which is why I was so upset when I arrived there Oct 8 to discover European Floors promise to cover “everything” was rhetorical only.  European Floor:  In the first two night the homeowner called my cellphone at 9pm until I had to answer the phone...to complain about 2 pieces of blue tape that were in the bushes.  Response:  True / False.  I did call him on Sunday – but he fails to provide all the information.  When I went back to the home Saturday evening his crew left on my front steps used rags, plastic, rolled up used tape and 3 water bottles.  He failed to mention I called him to tell his crew my home was not their trash can and to not leave trash on my front porch.  Maybe if he ever came by to check on his crew when they finished he would have taken steps to ensure they didn’t treat my home like their personal trash can.  So when I returned Sunday evening to water my plants and found 2 rolls of tape stuffed down in them then absolutely Yes I called him.  That is the height of disrespect to a home – and they were too lazy to take the trash with them.  European Floors:  The doors upstairs were locked.Response:  False.   The doors were not locked.  2 of the rooms do not even have a lock.European Floors:  We recommended a cleaning company and they went there to see the job and after they talked with the homeowner decided not to do the job because they did not like his demeanor.Response:  Lie. I was not involved with arranging the cleaning – Mr [redacted] office manager did.  Re the attached document, “Confirmed Clean Day-Time_Lesley” is the email Lesley sent to confirm the initial start day / time.  However, since Jon had just caulked the kitchen and bathrooms he did not want them to clean that night – he stayed until they arrived to tell them that.  I let them in the house to see what needed cleaning – and all they kept saying while they walked thru the house was “what a mess”!  They said they would contact Lesley on a start time and asked what they should charge.  I told them charge $500 since it was such a terrible mess with sawdust on everything.  Lesley texted me Friday that they would start Saturday at 5am.  You can call Lesley to confirm – so unless Dan wants me to file for libel he either provides documentation that they decided “not to do the job because they did not like his demeanor” or retracts that statement.  They never showed Saturday morning and never answered Lesley’s numerous calls.  On the following Monday Lesley brought 5 people to clean and it took them 4.5 hours to clean the mess – much of which could have been minimized had Dan followed up on his initial promise.  Feel free to call Lesley on her opinion of the mess!European Floors:  I’ve been in the flooring business for 15 years now and I’ve never had to deal with a person that puts everybody that he talks to down like that.  We are sorry he thinks we did such a bad job even before we started.Response:  Probably because European Floor has no idea what customer service is vs. just service.  Had he followed up on his promise to cover Everything, trained his crew to not disrespect a person’s home, and to stay out of areas they were told (garage) there would not be an issue.  Simple quality process.  And why the contradiction “he thinks we did such a bad job even before we started”?  That is an oxymoron.  I have 3 questions for European Floor and if can answer Yes to all 3 then I will cancel the complaint – I already know the answers to some because I have security camera’s at my home – but will see what he says.  Plus my neighbors and Jon (Mr. [redacted] worker) kept me informed.1. Were you on the property when the crew started Oct 7?2. Did you tell the crew to cover book cases, blinds, all kitchen cabinets, and other surfaces (as promised)?3. Did you check the crews work every day?
