I would like to respond as follows for the complaint number [redacted], which was filed on or about 10/5/2017. The letter stated that I had been contacted via letter or email but this letter, dated October 16, 2017, is the first communication that I have received. For future...
correspondence, my email is: [redacted]. The mailing address you have on file is correct. Our response is as follows: This is the first time in 37 years in business that a customer simply walked out without paying for the services received. Following the treatment, the customer was asked to pay the $260, which was due for injectable services on her face. She acted surprised and said that she would not pay for the services. The manager on duty asked whether the customer could stay for a few minutes so that things could be explained to her by the nurse who did the injections. She refused and walked out. After the manager attempted to contact her via phone several times, the customer called back after a few days and, again, said she would not pay, said “do what you have to do” and hung up the phone. We believe the customer knew very well that this particular treatment would not be free, since we already gave her a complimentary follow-up treatment on September 5th, 2017. Moreover, the nurse treated an area that was larger (and more encompassing) than the previous appointments and the customer should have known that there would be a charge. However, the customer never asked what the charge would be and just asked the nurse to go ahead and do the treatment. In conclusion, we believe this particular customer is trying to get something for nothing because she never asked the nurse whether there would be any charges, knew that the nursed was treating an area much larger than previously and never stuck around for an explanation. If we do not get paid within 30 days, we plan to file suit and/or contact the Tarrant County D.A.’s Office and file a “theft of services” complaint. If we file suit, we intend to collect on attorneys’ fees, as well as interest from the date the services were rendered. Regards, [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]
