Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The exhaust was overly loud We asked them to fix it and they did not, instead gave us a pipe and told us to fix it on our own This effectively masked all sounds coming from the breaks We were at the location for hours, and under minutes was spent in the car for a very short test drive We inspected under the hood, but weren’t aware that we were required to inspect every working mechanism of the vehicle (i.eclutch, breaks, tires, etc.), therefore we did not crawl on the grown to check it Any ethical dealership would perform this check themselves before selling the vehicle and announcing it is “safe for your family and ready to go.” There were recalls on the car, neither which was acknowledged, brought to our attention, or fixed Meaning we drove hours home on the New Jersey Turnpike with an infant in a car we were told numerous times was “safe for your family.” Our trade in car had no performance problems the entire time we owned it including our hour trip up there, yet when left with the mechanic it was “not safe” and made noises we never heard before We were repeatedly told our previous car was “not safe,” and “needed lots of things done to it to make it safe.” All evidence points to the fact that our original vehicle was tampered with but clearly we can’t prove it Doing this increased their chances of us buying a “safe car.” They constantly claimed the car was “safe” and “would pass a state inspection,” but the next day, I was pulled over and given a warning due to the tag light being out Not to mention the exhaust was not smog legal Also, we discovered the horn did not work on the drive home as we tried to honk at someone cutting us off We got the car checked over by a Subaru dealership as soon as possible, and they told us to “park the car and don’t drive it until the things are resolved because it is COMPLETELY UNSAFE.” Other examples of unethical behavior is that the tires were switched so that the part of them that was totally bald was switched to the inside, and not able to be seen from looking at the car We have contacted them by phone at least times, and by email on occasions including different recipients No one has given us the courtesy of a responseBeing a responsible car owner and obviously needing a working safe vehicle to transport our infant, we have the majority of these problems fixed We are looking for them to defer some of the expense for making the car as safe as they claimed it was Regards, [redacted] ***

We have responded to the original complaint and sent over all the relegated paperworkWe did not put a customer in a vehicle that was though to be unsafeCustomer is NOW also making an accusation that we "tampered" with her carThat is a lieSeems convenient for the customer to now says this for the first time weeks laterCustomer also stated that we changed the tires so the bald part was on the insideHow does the client come up with this? If she saw that occur, would she not say something? Of courseWhich means she is making that up as wellComplete loss of credibility, as the customer knows that is untrueCustomer it seems based on these misrepresentations, is trying to get something for nothingClient had, as stated, MANY hours to look at the vehicle as much as they wantedThey had complete access to see any and all facets of the car, at any timeCustomer had the ability to look at the car in our service dept, or take the car to any mechanic, or another dealership service deptto have the vehicle inspected fullyI have sent over all the paperwork to the Revdex.com that the customer signed for an "AS IS" purchase

I am rejecting this response because:1. The exhaust was overly loud. We asked them to fix it and they did not, instead gave us a pipe and told us to fix it on our own. This effectively masked all sounds coming from the breaks2. We were at the location for hours, and under minutes was spent in the car for a very short test drive. We inspected under the hood, but weren’t aware that we were required to inspect every working mechanism of the vehicle (i.eclutch, breaks, tires, etc.), therefore we did not crawl on the grown to check it. Any ethical dealership would perform this check themselves before selling the vehicle and announcing it is “safe for your family and ready to go.”3. There were recalls on the car, neither which was acknowledged, brought to our attention, or fixed. Meaning we drove hours home on the New Jersey Turnpike with an infant in a car we were told numerous times was “safe for your family.” 4. Our trade in car had no performance problems the entire time we owned it including our hour trip up there, yet when left with the mechanic it was “not safe” and made noises we never heard before. We were repeatedly told our previous car was “not safe,” and “needed lots of things done to it to make it safe.” All evidence points to the fact that our original vehicle was tampered with but clearly we can’t prove it. Doing this increased their chances of us buying a “safe car.” 5. They constantly claimed the car was “safe” and “would pass a state inspection,” but the next day, I was pulled over and given a warning due to the tag light being out. Not to mention the exhaust was not smog legal. Also, we discovered the horn did not work on the drive home as we tried to honk at someone cutting us off. We got the car checked over by a Subaru dealership as soon as possible, and they told us to “park the car and don’t drive it until the things are resolved because it is COMPLETELY UNSAFE.” 6. Other examples of unethical behavior is that the tires were switched so that the part of them that was totally bald was switched to the inside, and not able to be seen from looking at the car. We have contacted them by phone at least times, and by email on occasions including different recipients. No one has given us the courtesy of a response. Being a responsible car owner and obviously needing a working safe vehicle to transport our infant, we have the majority of these problems fixed. We are looking for them to defer some of the expense for making the car as safe as they claimed it was.

The Customer came in to trade their vehicle and buy one from usClient was at the dealership for several hoursCustomer test drove and inspected the vehicle in depthCustomer was happy with the condition of the vehicle when they left the dealershipCustomer knows and was told this is a
High-Performance vehicle, which they are VERY aware of at purchase time, and knew even prior to coming to the dealership as they are familiar with thses types of high-performance cars for quite some timeOnly after they got home did they say that they now had issues with the vehicle and they fell as though the car needed brakes, rotors, and a problem with the clutch (which they did not speak of when they test drove the car)They were fine with the car at time of purchaseNow they have issuesMoreover, this high performance vehicle was sold "AS IS", which the client fully understands as it was not only stated to them, but was put in writing in several spots
