Review: I bought a WorkPro Quantum 900 Series Black Mesh Chair via OfficeDepot and had no problems with it until the back of the chair literally broke off one day. Apparently it was a known issue and the [redacted] sent me a replacement back and seat mechanism for free, which was the right thing to do. Unfortunately, after a few years of dedicated use, the cylinder and base of my original chair DO NOT COME OFF. I watched their [redacted] video showing how to remove them from an unused chair with a pipe wrench and hammer, but I would like to see them do that effortlessly with a chair that's been used 8 hours a day for 2 years. I have tried on multiple occasions with different pipe wrenches and with multiple other people helping me, to no avail, with the replacement seat/backing lying on my floor like an eyesore. After numerous tries, the cylinder only managed to crack open from the repeated force. The actual response I have gotten from multiple employees of the company to my question of "[redacted]" is a list of prices for a replacement cylinder and base.

Its a great chair, but don't ever expect that you'll be able to remove the original cylinder/base once its been "welded" in place from innumerable hours of use.Desired Settlement: I don't think I am asking for anything excessive here, just a cylinder and base, since the original ones are NOT removable.

At this time, I have not been contacted by Eurotech a Divison of The Raynor Group regarding complaint ID [redacted]. Having had a completely unusable chair for several months now, I have sent the [redacted] a check for the base/cylinder.Sincerely,[redacted]

The item in the store was advertised with a lifetime warranty with no exclusions listed. The chain package did not contain a copy of the warranty. I contacted the supplier of the chair to [redacted] who holds the warranty and told them both arm rests have cracked apart due to being dry rotted and fell off. I cut my finger on some of the sharp burrs under the pads. This type of closed cell foam material has a self life which I believe expired causing the material to fail. The supplier [redacted] told me my warranty would not be accepted because they do not cover these items because the damage would be caused by wear and tear. They are trying to get out of covering their warranty. They chair has got little use and there is no signs of physical damage or wear on any part of the pads contact areas. Nor, was this exclusion listed during by purchase of this chair. The new warranty for the chair I just seen on the [redacted] website says 10 year limited MFG. warranty. This was not the same warranty I had when I purchased the chair at office depot during 2006.
