Review: Contracted for plumbing flush-up toilet to start on October 14th and finished by October 21st No contact from contractor on the 14th. Called him on the 15th and was assured work will start on the 21st. I reminded him work must be completed before the 31st of October. I called on the 21st and was told the toilet was damaged and was to be sent back. I then cancelled the contract. He sent $600.00 back from a $1000.00 deposit. I was willing to pay 20% re-stocking fee of $200.00 but 40% totaling $400.00 was unacceptable. He was almost eager to go to court. $400.00 is a lot of money for not having done any work on the project.Desired Settlement: 20% restocking fee is fair( $200.00) 40% ( $400.00) is not fair. Refund $200.00 please.

When Mr. [redacted] Signed our contract he was told by me this would be a special order and no refund would be given once placed.

When problems came up we had a very hard time getting in touch with Mr. [redacted]. Once he finaley answered, he was ok with a reorder. We received the item 11-1- and called Mr,. [redacted] and received no answer until 11- 8 .

I remined Mr. [redacted] this was a special order (not a stock item) and did not thank the vender would take it back. After several calls thay agreeded to take it back but with a consideral penelity. (The manafactory is the one who gave a refund not the vender).

Above is a simplifacation of what happened but hr. were spent trying to bring this projelct to a good end.

Mr. [redacted] has said he would have paid 20 0/0 ( or 200 dollars) but 4oo was just to much. he also indicated he would split the difference with the bussiness.

I Everett Eutsler have been ordered to send a check from my personal account and by Mr. [redacted] accepting as far as I am consuned this will be final.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Having done no actual work on the project I feel only the amount of $200.00 restocking fee was appropriate. I should have done more research on the business. Thank-you for your service Revdex.com with out your help I am sure this would have gone to court. NEVER DO A PROJECT WITH OUT FIRST SEEKING REFERENCES !! Just because a business has been in business for years will not mean good results. It's good to know the Revdex.com can help with such problems and avoid going to court. He still owes me $100.00 but I will "BITE THE BULLET" and take my loss
