acknowledge and agree to the Rules of Test Participation, including Rule 5B, ‘Test Materials’ which includes specific acknowledgement and agreement to the policies regarding the use of Unauthorized Aids. Rule 5B of the Rules of Test Participation includes the following information: I understand that I will not be permitted to bring to or to use during the test: Notes, cellular phones, electronic communication devices, visual or audio recording or listening devices or any device with an on/off option, unauthorized calculators, calculator watches, calculator manuals, scratch paper, or any other unauthorized aid (collectively referred to below as "Unauthorized Aids"). Further, the Rules of Test Participation includes the following information: Evaluation Systems takes reasonable security precautions in developing and administering tests and in processing test results. The CTC and Evaluation Systems reserve the right to void your results if in their sole opinion there is adequate reason to question the validity or legitimacy of your results, due to misconduct (including, but not limited to, a violation of the program rules, including the Rules of Test Participation, and the rules communicated to you, orally or in writing, at the test administration) or to circumstances within or beyond your control. Because this candidate violated the policy regarding accessing a cell phone during the administration of the test, and in accordance with the Rules of Test Participation, the Washington Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB) directed the Evaluation Systems group of Pearson to void the candidate’s test results for the November 11, 2014, test administration. As a result, the candidate’s test results are not available. There is no provision in the program to provide a refund of test fees based on the circumstances described in this candidate’s communication. Finally, with respect to the candidate’s concerns regarding the timeline for receiving a response to an appeal, we have confirmed that this candidate’s appeal was received on December 29, 2014, and the response was mailed on January 6, 2015. On July 10, 2015, the candidate informed the WEST Customer Contact Center, that a response to the appeal was not received. On the same day, a reprint of the original response dated January 6, 2015, was mailed to the candidate at the same address. We hope this information is helpful.

Review: I was scheduled to take the West E Elementary Education 006 test three to four times and noticed that the content matter of the test was not the same as the practice tests I purchased and also the study or practice test questions. The content was not the same and I believe that I was given the wrong or incorrect tests at the testing center.I spoke with the site location rep and she gave me a number to contact and then I spoke with [redacted] who administered the test and they said that it wasn't their responsibility and then was referred to WA State Educator who are looking into the issue, however, the lady I spoke with wasn't very helpful and she said that it was the correct test but I know for a fact that it was not and am awaiting a call back.It has costed me $95 each time to take the test and I had taken it four times and each time I don't pass it and miss it by three questions. I feel that I have been given the incorrect test with the wrong content or different content material and it has put me back a full year since I can't progress my student teaching and it delays from doing so until 2016. I was scheduled to start my student teaching this Spring now it was delayed to Fall 2015 and since I retook the test this Saturday August 9th and did not pass, I can't do my student teaching until 2016. I was given an incorrect test again with the wrong or different content material.I want a refund of my funds and I want to be able to get a passing score so I can proceed since it has been very costly and was time consuming because I could have completed my student teaching and finished my Masters in Education degree at University of Phoenix. Please assist me in resolving this situation or confusion so I can proceed with my studies and do my student teaching in a timely manner. I took the tests on Sat, August 9, 2014, West E Elementary Subtest 006-not pass, Sat, March 15, 2014 same test, no pass, Sat, November 30, 2013 same test, not pass, Saturday, August 3, 2013 Elem Edu 005-not pass.Desired Settlement: I want a refund for these tests and want a passing score reflected so I can continue with my University of Phoenix class and be eligible for student teaching as soon as possible. I feel that I went through much time, trouble and money to always receive the wrong test or test with the incorrect content. It took an additional 1 to 3 years to get my degree due to the incorrect test or exams being presented to me. I could have completed my teaching experience this Spring and it did nothappen.

Review: I paid $155.00 to take a state certified test. During the break, I told the receptionist that I had a doctor's appointment and I needed to use my phone. She was right there and saw me use the phone. After I hung up she called her supervisor to say that I broke the rules and cheated on the test when she was right there and saw me. They then had me go back finish the test and then later sent me a letter voiding my results which indicated that I did pass the tests but I was under investigation. I would like to complain publicly because if I was cheating them why allow me to make the phone call in the first place. Then afterwards call the supervisor to report me. Then after I finish the test disqualify my results. I believe it is discrimination. The company has a policy where you cannot get a refund and I have sent them a letter in January asking them to reconsider. I never received a response from them until July with a backdated letter from January.Desired Settlement: I would like the $155.00 I spent in testing fees returned in full and my true scores released.

Review: I was denied admission to the California Preliminary Administrative Credential Examination (CPACE) because my drivers licence didn't match the registration information. At the time of registration, I was provided three fields to register my name (First Name, Middle Initial, and Last Name). I have four names. And because First Name is defined as "a given name that precedes your surname", I entered such (excluding one since there was no space provided for all).Desired Settlement: I spoke to two Pearson representatives. Neither would issue a refund, stating again that my identification did not match my registration. I also had my attorney from [redacted] forward a request for refund, stating that I was not given the opportunity to provide information during the registration process that would match my identification. The request was again denied.

Please update your records. Thank you. [redacted], **Information Specialist*Revdex.com serving Northeast California 3075 Beacon Blvd West Sacramento, CA 95691 p: ###-###-#### We have researched this examinee’s request for a refund or credit based on the denial of admission to his testing appointment for the California Preliminary Administrative Examination (CPACE). The examinee was denied admission to his CPACE testing appointment due to insufficient identification. Prior to registering for an examination, candidates are required to acknowledge and agree to the Rules of Test Participation, including Rule #2, “Policies,” which includes specific acknowledgement and agreement to the Identification Policy. The Identification Policy includes the following information: You must bring to the test administration one piece of current, government-issued identification printed in English, in the name in which you registered, bearing your photograph and signature. Acceptable forms of identification include the following: • Driver's license with photograph and signature • Passport with photograph and signature • State identification with photograph and signature (provided by the Department of Motor Vehicles for individuals who do not have a driver's license) • National identification with photograph and signature • Military identification with photograph and signature • Alien Registration Card (green card, permanent resident visa) Unacceptable forms of identification include draft classification cards, credit cards of any kind, Social Security cards, student IDs, international driver's licenses, international student IDs, notary-prepared letters or documents, employee identification cards, learner's permits or any temporary identification cards, and automated teller machine (ATM) cards. If you are refused admission to the test, for any reason, you will be considered absent and will receive no credit or refund of any kind. Importantly, the Identification Policy also contains information advising candidates with questions about their identification to contact Evaluation Systems before the day of the test: “If you have a question about your identification, contact us to submit your question to Evaluation Systems before the day of the test.” Prior to the day of the test, Customer Service is able to assist examinees with questions regarding the guidelines according to the ID policies, allowing for resolution of potential issues with examinee identification prior to the day of the test. In accordance with the Identification Policy, Mr. [redacted] was denied admission to the test session and is not eligible for any refund or credit. The CPACE is administered for the purpose of the issuance of a preliminary Administrative Services Credential. The requirements of the Identification Policy are established to confirm the identity of individuals taking a California Educator Credentialing Examination. Scores on the examination are reported directly to the CTC for the purpose of informing the issuance of a preliminary Administrative Services Credential. In this context, as you can understand, to ensure the integrity and security of our tests ascertaining the correct identity of a tester is of utmost importance to Evaluation Systems and to the CTC. That is why it is imperative that testing candidates review the policies prior to testing and raise any concerns or questions prior to the testing date for resolution.
