In response: to the allegations that our customer has stated; we would like to state our side of the story for the record.
The following items are facts as we see them:
• The
customer called and talked to the owner and said that we had left the nuts on the ball joints were finger tight, and then in the complaint it was the control arm nuts. Which is it?
• Customer never gave us an opportunity to inspect, verify or correct the problem; we would have sent a tow truck to pick the vehicle up and bring it back to the shop, this would have given us the oportunity to verify and repair the alledged problem.
• Customer told the owner that he drove it to the Firestone shop, and they tightened them out of the kindness of their heart, if the customer is so frightened about an accident, why did he even drive it to the Firestone Shop? If it was such a deadly situation, why did he risk driving the vehicle after discovering the alledged loose bolts?
• Customer was given a quote for the work to be done and was charged the amount that he was quotedHe was charged a fair price and had the opportunity to take it elsewhere.
• Customer stated that we promised the work in one day, and the fact is we never talked with him on a time frameHis Father was the one who brought the vehicle inWe told his Father that the job pays hours of labor and that it was impossible to finish in one dayThen we had to call the Customer, on Friday to let him know that he brought us the wrong lower control arm bushings, and was advised of that on Friday, and that the vehicle would not be done until Monday, the job was completed on Monday.
• When the customer broght the vehicle in for a steering problem, he was told the truck had oversized tires and wheels, and the ball joints would not take care of the problem. He said to put them on anywayThe customer diagnosed and purchased all the parts that we installed.
• Before we did the work the Customer was told that he needed to have an alignment done, and they agreed that they would take care of that themselves, because we do not have an alignment machineCustomer was also was advised that he needed to get it into an alignment shop immediately -the Customer waited until, he stated he heard a noise and took it to the shop. The owner talked to the mechanic that worked on the vehicle, and he assured him that they were tightened all the way and they were double checked, the mechanic is a certifed, loyal and honest man, that has been with us for yearsThere are no doubts there.
• The owner of Evans Auto Service is a Certified Master Mechanic, and in his opinion and that of the other mechanics, if the nuts were just finger tight, the customer would not have been able to drive vehicle for weeks without having some kind of a mishap.
• Evans Auto service has been in business for over years and have never had a complaint filed with the Better Bisuness Bureau.
In conclusion; the customer did not give us the opportunity to verify or correct any alledged problemWe believe that after spending the money to fix what he believed was the problem he was disappointed and looking for a way to recoup his lossesThe cutomer stated on the phone that if he did not get some money back he would get his lawyer involved.
We have run our business for over years with fairness, integrity and good quality workmanshipWe have always stood behind our work with prideThe statement that the customer has given is without merit and should not be taken as true facts.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: False statements made in the attached responce from Evans. Auto.
May 16, 2014
Revdex.com
I have read the response from [redacted] Evans and there are
numerous false statements made by him.
·
I called and spoke to a person who did not
identify themselves upon answering the call as anyone other than Evens
Auto.  I clearly stated that the lower
control arm nuts were not tightened.
Upon even further investigation the front lower shock lock nuts were not
tightened and one of them was even missing. Also the both of the torsion bar adjuster
bolts were not adjusted back to their original position. I only have one
vehicle and the owner is very aware of this fact as this was the cause of the
scheduling dates of the service.
·
Evans Auto closes at 5:30 pm and I am very aware
of this fact as it is stated their website. I discovered the problem 38 miles
from his shop and after 5:30 pm. I am not a rich man and could not afford the
cost of a cab for my Wife and I home.
The Firestone shop I drove to is a little over a quarter of a mile from
where I was and the drive is all residential roadways and speeds. I took a
video with my phone right before I drove it, less than 10 miles an hour, to the
firestone where they tightened them for me when I had asked if they could loan
me the wrench to do it myself.  Remember,
this was almost a full week after I was contacted by Evans auto and told the
service was “Completed” and my truck was “All ready to go”.
·
I would ask Evans to produce this quote he
states he gave me.  What I got was an
hourly labor quote. Even if there is such a quote for the “Work to Be done”
what is your definition of “Done”? I have no problem with paying what I was
charged if the job had been completed.
·
 If you
subpoena copies of the security tapes for that morning you will see that I was
the person dropped off the vehicle and left the keys in the key drop NOT my
Father. I was contacted on Friday by someone stating that they were evens Auto
and that they could not remove the lower control arm bushings  and that he thought they were non
replaceable. He stated that in order to replace the lower bushings I would need
a total lower control arm replacement. He then asked why I wanted the lower
control arm bushings replaced anyway as they were still good. I told him if
they are still good to just leave them alone.
·
With regards to the so called Oversized Tires, I
have had the oversized tires on the vehicle since 2004. The vehicle has over
200,000 miles on it. If the oversized tires were the problem then it would
surely have manifested itself long before now.  I did purchase all parts that would be needed
for all variations of parts that could possibly be required for my make and
model for upper and lower control arm bushings, and upper and lower ball joints.
The parts that were not correct for my particular rendition of make and model
were returned to the supplier.
·
With regards to the alignment comment, I did
take it in to get aligned the same day the vehicle was released to me as having
the work completed. I have the receipt should this need to be verified.
·
Upon returning home the day I found the issues
it was after Evans Auto’s business hours. I waited until the next day where I
was told the mechanic, Louise, would be fired. When I asked what other
compensation he would be willing to offer me, as is basic customer service
would warrant, I asked for a refund of some of the costs. The person was
shocked and became agitated when I asked this and told me he didn’t have and
wouldn’t. I advised the person I was speaking with that I would consult with my
attorney for advice on how to proceed. I do have a video I took with my
telephone that shows the loose lower control arm nuts should you like to see
it. I’m not asking for anything more than what I think would be fair
compensation as I feel that I paid for a completed service and it was not
provided. It was not 2 weeks prior to discovering the problem but at the most,
one week.
·
With regards to the statement that Evans Auto
has been in business for 23 years and has never had a complaint filed with the
Revdex.com has no bearing on the situation.
·
I have dated receipts to prove my claims and am
willing to provide them if necessary.
All am asking for is some sort of compensation. If Evans Auto is not
willing to prove their fairness and Integrity they speak of by stating the
truth and offering at least a $100 refund, that alone is proof of their lack of
integrity, lack of fairness and poor workmanship as well as the poor ethics of
their true business practices.

I am rejecting this response because:
I
am rejecting this response because: It is apparent that Evans Auto feels that
they have my money and are entitled to any penny they can swindle a customer
out of. It appears that if the amount they swindle is small enough, dissatisfied customers will not feel it is worth pursuing legal action. That's
how I feel as well. I don't have the time, nor funds right now to obtain legal
counsel at this time. I have my videos, photos, witnesses, receipts and proof should I wish
to pursue legal action myself in small claims court in the future. Meanwhile, I
will continue to share my experience with Evans Auto with anyone, and everyone
I can find. For reason as to prevent them from having their life, or family's lives, put in harm’s
way, the way Me and My family were, by the practices of Evans auto that they feel are so fair and Ethical. I will
be posting my experience and opinions on all forms of social media to share
with my followers. Voy a publicar en español, así.

In response to the allegations that our customer has stated; we would like to state our rebuttal responce
The following items are facts as we see them:
• The customer stated in the origional complaint that all 4 lower control) arm bushings  were loose and that he had been driving for almost 2 weeks then in his 2nd statement he added the lower shock nuts were loose and 1 missing and then claimed it was less than 1 week.
• Customer never gave us an opportunity to inspect, verify or correct the problem; we
would have sent a tow truck to pick the vehicle up and bring it back to the shop, this would have given us the oportunity to verify and repair the alledged problem.
• Customer stated the vehicle was taken in the SAME day the vehicle was released from  our shop to get the allignment. The FIRST thing an allignment shop does prior to an  allignment is INSPECT all the front end components. The issues the customer has  claimed would of been found. The torsion bar adjusting bolts was not put back to  origlonal position because the allignment shop would of adjusted them while doing the allignment and posed no safety concern.
• Customer claims all these items was loose 2 weeks after he had taken it to the allignment shop and he had found the problem. KNOWING THAT AN ALLIGNMENT SHOP WOULD OF ADJUSTED THE TORSION BAR BOLTS WHEN DOING THE ALLIGNMENT I WOULD SAY THE CUSTOMER IS EITHER LYING OR THE ALLIGNMENT SHOP DIDNT DO ITS 108111
• Customers Father came in 1 week prior to having the work done and we told him at  that time it couldnt be done in 1 day, vehicle was dropped of for that THURSDAY and then done by MONDAY.
• The oversised tires will cause the vehicle to handly inncorrectly, ask any tire shop.
• Evans Auto service has been in business for over 23 years and have never had a complaint filed with the Better Bisuness Bureau and that does have a bearing on this situation. If we did such poor workmanship, lacked integrity and fairness wouldnt a report been filed in all that time?
In conclusion; the customer did not give us the opportunity to verify or correct any alledged problem. We believe there is no proof to back up his statements and why would we be willing to give the customer back $100.00 dollars when we believe we did nothing wrong? To keep him quiet, I dont think so. There is such a thing in this universe called karma and to make slanderous convents about a company is just wrong. JUST LOOKING AT HIS FIRST STATEMENT AND THEN COMPARING IT TO HIS SECOND STATEMENT YOU CAN SEE WHERE THE INCONSISTANCIES ARE. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
