Don't waste your time
I made an appointment a week in advance to bring my car to them at 8am. When the day came and I had made arrangements with my employers to miss part of my work morning, nobody ever showed up. There was another customer already there with an appointment and waiting as well. I understand that personal emergencies may arise and appointments have to me changed; but they did not have the curtesy to call and inform their customers of this. Nor did they return my calls when I tried to inquire.

I had taken my car into *** Evans automotive shop on May 7 2019 to have my passenger side cylinder head replaced. Mr Evans called me on May 8th stating that it would be too much of a hassle to do a cylinder head replacement and that if he would do anything it would be a engine swap. I approved of this action. The original quote was $2,441. He told me he would have it done by May 14th. When the 14th came he had still not started it. Upon May 29th Mr ***'s sent me another quote for $3,656. I called him immediately upon recieving the email and he told me that it would be the final price. Mr *** did not finish my vehicle until June 21st and upon completion he left my keys unsecure on the floorboard with a new statement of $4,215 after telling me it would not be more than $3,000. He stated that he had replaced numerous parts with brand new parts. Since I have gotten my car back I have had multiple problems that I have not had in past. He claims he had replaced both of my radiator hoses along with a water pump. My radiator hose bursted within a week of having my vehicle back and there is wiring within the engine bay that is causing my car to short out and lose power quickly. I have tried to Contact Mr *** multiple times and I am sent to voicemail. I leave my name and number and request for a call back and still have not recieved one.

HI, I SEE THAT *** WITH HIS MUSTANG IS HAVING PROBLEMS, ACCORDING TO HIS COMPLAINT OF PHONE GOING TO VOICEMAIL. I HAVE VOICEMAIL FOR A REASON. THAT REASON IS FOR THE SOLICITORS THAT WASTE MY TIME DURING THE BUSINESS DAY AND IS VERY HARD ON THE REPAIR DEPARTMENT FOR OTHER VEHICLES TRYING TO GET REPAIRED ALSO. SO, IF I DON'T GET A MESSAGE I CAN'T RESPOND TO HIM, OR ANYONE. AS I WOULD TELL HIM, HE IS TO BRING THE CAR IN FOR A DIAGNOSIS TO FIND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEMS ARE. YES, I DO HAVE MY FRONT GATE CLOSED ALSO, BUT I DO HAVE A SIDE ENTRANCE THAT I ENCOURAGE PEOPLE WITH A PROBLEM TO COME IN AND I WILL TAKE A LOOK, AND ASSESS, AND GIVE A DIRECTION ON HANDLING IT/THEM.I HOPE THIS HELPS, THANKS, *** EVANS

Dear ***,

***’ vehicle came to
*** Automotive the first week of June and *** brought it in for
service. The van came in with the check engine light on and air coming out of
the radiator. I informed *** that a total head gasket job had to be
completed for the van in order for it to run properly again. The van came in the
first week of June and *** brought it in for service. I explained to
him it was going to take awhile to complete this job because of the amount of
time involved in completing the head gasket job. I also explained that there
were other vehicles ahead of his and tear down did not begin right away. Once I
started the tear down process I had to send the heads out to get them machined
professionally. While I was waiting for the heads to return, other vehicles came
into the shop that had their own set of problems. I spent days trying to figure
out the issues for three very trying vehicles. This put me behind on working on
***’s van. I had different personnel trying to help me get other projects
complete but that just made matters worse. The total cost of the repairs to the
vehicle is on the attachment.

I have been in contact with ***
P. ***. I have made arrangements to pay the rental car fee that she incurred
while her vehicle was being worked on. The van was completed on 7/26/2018 and the customer came and
picked it up at that time. I have seen the customer driving around with the van
since it has been repaired and there have been no issues reported to me.

I am rejecting this response because:
A couple of months ago I sent a complaint in to the Revdex.com in regards to an issue I was having with a repair shop in Twentynine Palms *** automotive on how they have my van for a long period of time and had no completed the work in a timely manner and as well as needing to rent a car to drive to Virginia for my grandmas funeral since then I have had my vehicle back the first month of having the van back things were fine you guys were contacted by one of the employees stating no issues for the van were brought to their knowledge in the last recent weeks my check engine light has once again come back on my car has also begun to jerk when trying to accelerate up small hills and I noticed my car has also been leaking fluids we decided to take it to a coworker to see if he could jus simply look and see what’s going on he asked where I had taken my van to previously to get worked on and in shock told me I needed to go to the court house and file a complaint because the damage he noticed to the van was unfixable I had my heads worked on when I had van in his shop and was told my heads were once again the issue I paid a total of over $3,000 and wish for a full refund as since my car is ruined and now have to seek a new vehicle for me and my kids

It is not true I responded immediately as soon as I got the last email that you had the complaint is bogus there is no proof unless you have it that the car is repairable I don't she had an appointment already to come in to have that problem solved and missed her appointment so please respond to us at *** and will tell you all about it we like the opportunity to repair the vehicle instead of refunding the money that is what two years 24,000 refers to thank you *** owner
