Mrs*** had called after her roof was installed with a few items to look at, within a week of her request I took my crew to her home and repaired a few areas were shingles had
not settled lying flat (due to needing more heat on the shingle to seal properly)We took care of the issues immediatelyWe installed Ridge vent at NO COST to her so she would have a warranty on her shinglesHer original shingles had no warranty because she did not have enough ventilation in the atticWe upgraded her shingle to a year shingle at NO COST to her, we installed ice and water shield at NO COST to her, and installed lead flashings at NO COST to herWe were never contacted about an inspection nor did we receive any paperwork on an inspection that said the shingles were not installed rightWe would be glad to meet the inspector out there and try to tell us that the shingles are not installed correctly and there is no warranty
The screen issue - we reframed screens (that were on her insurance estimate) and re screened an additional screens at NO COST to her that her insurance company did not even have on the claim(Not sure what she is complaining about here
The gable vent (closing off the gable) we made an appointment to close it off and then she called and said her husband did some research and did not want it closed offThis is the first that we are hearing about this issue of closing it off AGAINWe are an Owens Corning preferred contractor and we properly installed her roof and she does have a warranty through the manufacturer
We made an appointment to come and look at her nail pops even though this is not part of her insurance claim nor were they caused by installing shinglesShe called minutes after we were sitting there in her driveway and said she was still at a client's house and would be about another minutesWe did not have time to wait minutes and went on to our next appointmentWe have installed over roofs in the last year and installing a roof has never caused nail popsWe installed her roofing on 5/31/and did not hear about nail pops till months after the install and her payment was dueNail pops occur on almost all tract homes after a couple of years and are maintenance to the homeowner
If Mrs*** does believe that her nail pops were caused by the installation of the shingles she may want to contact her builder because that would mean that her trusses are not braced properly
Mrs*** was extremely disrespectful on the phone at which I was no longer going to take her talking to me that way and she stand correct I hung up on herWe have been in public service business for over years and we absolutely take care of any issue that pertains to our workmanship
