I received a complaint from a homeowner that we serviced and am providing my response that has been re-iterated via email.   4/7 email response re: missing coat: Good Afternoon [redacted], After our phone conversation on 3/24, I have thoroughly reviewed your file and double checked inventory and...

hundreds of photos from the packout and at our facility and I am not seeing this particular coat. It appears we may not have seen this coat for restoration. An item of such value and fur detail is something that we would have outsourced to our furrier and there is no record or photos of this coat in question.  I apologize if you feel that we have not taken care of this in a more timely matter but missing items is something we take very seriously and does take some time to review.  We have a very sophisticated inventory system to help us in such a situation. Every item is photographed and entered into inventory then again rechecked before going into storage or out for a delivery.  Unfortunately all records are not indicating we had this coat.    4/10 email response re: accusation that we stole the coat: Hi [redacted], I am so sorry to hear that. I can ensure you that our workers can be trusted they do not want to risk losing their job over taking something that is not theirs. We have security cameras and take other measures to make sure they understand this. The coat in question had a value of $1000 that was handwritten into the receipt. I would be willing to offer you $250 to close this up today. Please let me know. Thank you.   4/17 email response re: seeking a lawyer if we cannot resolve the matter: Good Morning, Unfortunately, I am not able to accommodate your request of $1000 reimbursement on the jacket. It also seems you are now unsatisfied with some items that have been delivered back to you (with the last delivery of three months ago). Feel free to have your attorney contact me for any future discussions. Thank you.   Kristy [redacted] General Manager Evans Garment Restoration
