Evans Hardy & Young Reviews (5)

We purchased a used rv from OrangewoodWe had the unit delivered and set upWhen we walked into it, it had not been cleaned, the carpets were filthyA couple of weeks later we had an issue with the toilet stopping upWe contact Orangewood and was told they would not do anything about this to call a plumber, which we did and the plumber said the tanks had not been cleaned before the unit was delivered to usI contact Orangewood again to let them know about this and they weren't interested in anything I had to sayI tried to get in touch with the owner and we keep missing each other's phone calls, but he left a message telling we he wasn't responsible for our problem because it was set up wrong and the black tank should of been closedThis is our first rv and his people set the unit up so I would say he needs to hire people that know what they are doingWe will not do business with Orangewood again and will not recommend them to anyone

To whom it may concern,Thank you so much for your help in facilitating a means for resolution with our organization, Orangewood RV Center, and our customer, Mr. [redacted].  Prior to receiving notification from theRevdex.com in regards to Mr. [redacted]’s recent service visit to...

Orangewood RV I had the opportunity to speak with him in a follow up call regarding his experience. It was clear during this conversation there was a misunderstanding between our service advisor and Mr. [redacted]. When Mr. [redacted] and our service advisor spoke about the leak we did in fact try and tighten the seal at his tank flange, it slowed the leak but did not stop the leak. This leak was not a part of our initial estimate as it was an unknown problem; we had completed the authorized repairs and completed our testing, only for the customer to find out later that the 11 year old seal in an area untouched during our repairs had failed.  Our service advisor tried to explain had we noticed this issue while working on his RV the repair would have only taken an additional half hour of labor ($59.50) and we would have contacted him to give him the opportunity to authorize the additional repairs, unfortunately the issue was not noticed by our technician during the repair process and now the repair is going to be a little more involved resulting in an hours’ worth of labor ($119) to repair properly.  Mr. [redacted] was advised that the repair will now take one hour, but we will honor the half hour charge that it would have taken had the problem been exposed while the plumbing was disassembled.  At the time Mr. [redacted] was very frustrated and did not fully understand the reason for the leak or the resolution we were offering.  During my follow up call to Mr. [redacted] he acknowledges he fully understands the situation and feels our position is reasonable and appreciates our good faith offer to make the repairs at a discounted rate.  Mr. [redacted] stated he is going to try to make the repair himself now that he understands what is involved; however in the event he cannot stop the leak he will contact us to schedule an appointment to get the repairs completed by Orangewood RV Center.  He advised his letter to the Revdex.com was written out of frustration and stated he will request it be retracted as it is not a true reflection of how he feels taking all things into consideration.  [redacted]                                   ... I was so frustrated with some initial experiences here. HOWEVER, I was contacted by Brad, and he helped get everything worked out. There was some miscommunication, but not anymore. Everything was explained to me and he really took the time to listen to my concerns. I would recommend Orangewood RV because, no matter what, they will go to bat for their customers.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
Regards,
[redacted]
