Review: I called and spoke to owner [redacted] at McGills and told him I wanted high quality leather barstools for my kitchen. I let him know I had been searching for 2 years for high end stools and did not have any success. He recommended that I look at several websites, which I did and I found some beautiful stools. The picture on the web describes the leather as high quality top grain leather. I paid 50% down and 50% when they got to the store, a total of a $2491.56. When I got home to see the stools I noticed immediately that they were not leather. I have been shopping for stools for over 2 years and have much experience with leather of all kinds. I used to work for a leather company and am sort of a leather expert. When I called [redacted] to express my dissatisfaction, he insisted they were leather and told me he would not refund my money. He did offer to get me a letter from the manufacturer showing that they were leather and to take them back and try to sell them-once he sold them he would give me my money back. He insists they are "coated leather." I told him they must be coated in plastic and they do NOT match the descriptions of high quality top grain leather or the pic online. He refused so I put in a dispute with my credit card which is still pending.Desired Settlement: Money back immediately!!!!

Hello. I spoke to the owner of McGill's furniture today. He refuses to take the stools back on the basis that they were a custom order. This is a outright lie. I was told they were in stock and I would have them by Thanksgiving. Then he called back to say those got sold and they had to find me some more and it would take a few weeks. I was never told they were a custom order or special order and still have not been given a receipt for the purchase. In addition, he will not come get the stools and refuses to accept them if we try to bring them back to the store. He says if I bring them back he will not give me a return receipt.
