Review: On June 24, 2013, Evans Enterprises repaved my driveway, and I paid the owner, Mr. [redacted] in full by check. He promised before departure that his team would return to fix a dip left in front of one garage door. The problem became glaringly evident when the first rain fell and water collected and pooled in the dip. [redacted] did not return to fix the problem, in spite of repeated phone calls to him over the ensuing months during which he acknowledged the problem, apologized repeatedly, promised to fix it by specific dates, but has simply failed to do so. I have written two letters to Evans Paving dated September 4 and November 14, in which I have detailed the history of our phone conversations, his promises, and failures to deliver as promised. On October 22, he told me he would fix the problem "tomorrow", and on November 25 that he would have it fixed "before the (Thanksgiving) holiday". Nothing has happened to date. I have pictures of the pooled water as evidence.Desired Settlement: I simply need Mr. [redacted] and Evans Enterprises to return to my home and fix the problem that has existed since the day my driveway was paved, as Mr. [redacted] himself has acknowledged. I honestly believe it would take Evans no more than a couple hours to fix the problem, but I do need the issue resolved, as it is evident without correction this depression in front of one garage door will cause the new driveway to succumb prematurely to water damage in that spot.
Review: [redacted] proposed that he would pave my driveway and cover my existing steps with pavers. His workers were extremely sloppy and unqualified. There is one section of my driveway that requires some touch up asphalt. Although Mr. [redacted] has promised to return to my house to make the touch up him himself, I've lost confidence that he will ever return. Regarding the pavers, his men were forced to re-position numerous stones because of their poor judgment. There still are many stones that were not cut evenly and it simply looks sloppy. In addition, Mr. [redacted] never cleaned the residue cement from the stones, although he promised he would. As part of the job, Mr. [redacted] stated that he would replace my handrail. When he removed the original handrail, he left it sitting on my front lawn for weeks. Six weeks later, Mr. [redacted] has promised repeatedly that he would take care of the railing, but nobody has ever shown up and my project remains incomplete. Mr. [redacted], however, does not provide an email address to customers and he rarely picks up his telephone.Desired Settlement: I would like for Mr. [redacted] to keep his promises and return to complete the job.
