Review: [redacted], son [redacted] came with helper [redacted] to clean my septic. I requested pink sepic system data form to be filled out ([redacted] is young and did not know what he was doing). I questioned the amount of service and told him to call his office to make sure the $350 charge was correct. He went to his truck came back 5 minutes later and said he called and the price was correct. I asked him to itemize bill, he had a hard time figuring it out. I paid by check they left. Immediately I called his company and asked for a price quote of cleaning a 1,000 tank septic and was quoted $100 less, $250 by his own mother, [redacted]. I spoke with her and explained and she just said to write out another check and mail it to her. I then went on Revdex.com site to see that they received an F from Revdex.com. I looked on the pink westchester gov copy and noticed that the licensed septage collector was his father, [redacted] License#88 and not the son. Upon further investigation, I researched the septic collector license laws and under Article 8:Sewerage, Sewage and Refuse Section 873.722 Licensing Requirements C. Licensing (3) license is non-transferable. I called Chase and put a stop payment on my check #[redacted] in amount of $379.85Desired Settlement: I refuse to pay for a service by an unlicensed septage collector. I called the westchester county septic system management before I hired [redacted] Septic Tank Service to make sure they were licensed in my county, Westchester and spoke with [redacted] who had to look it up and confirmed they were licensed. The boy, [redacted] lied when asked to verify price and did not know he was supposed to fill out a county of westchester dept of health form verifying service. He is not licensed, immproperly trained and therefore would like a fair resolution to the problem. Thank you, [redacted]
Business
Response:
Firstly, [redacted] Septic has been in business for almost 40 years and we pride ourselves in our professionalism, honesty,
and good nature with our customers. Our company is licensed with Westchester County, license [redacted] which I
[redacted] operates in Westchester. That day, my son [redacted] who is back from College agreed to go on the
truck (this was his first time all summer) to see how a potential driver drove. This was a sporatic
decision of the day, and yes, my son was not on our permit (he now is) was not done intentionally.
He did not know the price and indeed tried getting a hold of me which he couldn't charged which he thought was $350.00
minus a $20.00 coupon for an open tank which came to $330.00, which instead should have been $270.00
minus the $20.00 plus $25.00 for digging which should have been $30.00, which would have been
$280.00 plus tax. At which time Mrs, [redacted] contacted me and I explained to her that he didn't know
the price and immediately I contacted my son and we destroyed the check which she agreed upon and which she agreed
to send another.
I must say my son happens to be the most honest person in the world. He is loved by all his teachers
because of his gentle nature. In fact it was Mrs. [redacted] which was irate, also confirmed with my potential driver, which
did not know the price either. So, to date, Mr. [redacted] has not sent us payment of $300.65 which at this point was probably
her intentions since the beginning. I request that payment be sent since we pumped her tank and performed the services,
and did a darn good job I Since we are probably only company that pumps the a septic tank 100% and washes them down.
As so our F rating, I wrote the Revdex.com last year to the effect we were never called that they had a problem with there tank we installed,
and indeed if it wasn't for us they would have never had that tank replaced since it was a metal tank all pitted and ready to collapse,
and something insurance companies don't cover. We worked with their insurance companies for hours. At this
point, they were just trying to monopolize on the situation. The tank was installed properly and In good working order, and
again we have been installing for years.
I hope this letter clears our company of that standing, since being in business for almost 40 years speaks for itself.
Again, my son did not overcharge her intentionally, and in turn he tore the check up immediately. Again, I ask that she
send payment and that this is not a ploy of hers to begin with.
