Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my Complaint.I do want to make clear we were having issues before hitting Benton Green Energy, but not as bad as when they finished their insulation removal contaminating our house with airborne insulation particles from the rolled up insulation that was improperly removedI paid a drywall expert to open the ceiling so that D [redacted] would have access to fully remove the insulation from the matter bedroom and bath, the drywall expert had the openings ready for D [redacted] by pm on Friday 8/4, D [redacted] did not come out to the house until 8/in the afternoon to remove the insulationThe insulation was exposed to the room and the house for days causing additional allergies to my family and itchyD [redacted] has paid for a hotel which cost him $for my wife and my daughter's, my son and I remained in the interstates house because I did not want to create a bigger expense for him, I have not asked him to pay for our gas or food due to this inconvenience, all I am asking is for him to make well by repairing what he did wrongI booked a hotel room that fits our whole family from Monday to Friday for $this was the same rate as the previous hotel he had paidI do not know why he was offended or upset about itHe said he's would pay for the hotel but nothing elseHe had promised to fix the insulation infestation by hiring a cleaning company to clean out home, he would hire a HVAC company to clean my ducts and he would completed an aeroseal duct seal free of charge to fix the issues.? ? I am good if he completes what he promised here would our refund me my money so I could hire the companies myself to complete the job.? Regards, A [redacted] D***

I have attached a copy of the contract between MrD*** and myself. My company completed item and every effort was made to keep the airborn insulation to a minimum during the removal. I provided commercial air scrubbers to the homeowner at no charge and you can see I recommended vacating the home during the process. There was simply nothing else I could have done. After MrD*** filed the complaint with you he sent me a text asking to have another company only examine the ductwork and not clean it as I had arranged. Then a few days later I had a call from the contractor asking for payment for the duct cleaning, which I did, even though I have been advised not to do anything else as it may be construed as an admission of wrongdoing. I did the best I could for MrD*** under the terms of our contract

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
The business covered his basis on the contract, but while in person he never suggested we needed To vacate the homeIn reference to admission he already did by paying for the duct work to be cleanedAnd placing my wife in a hotel for nights. He was going to pay for a hotel up to Wednesday the following week to make sure he had enough time to hire aCleaning company and aeroseal the air ducts to make sure no insulation was going through the system. I kept the bargain of the contract and paid him his $charge. Enclosed please find the text messages between Dean and myself until I booked a star hotel for my wife at the sameRate he had already paid and he blew a gasket because I asked him to pay up to Friday instead of Wednesday.

MrD*** contracted with my company to remove and dispose of the insulation in the attic area of his home, which we did Before we started I noticed damaged duct work above the living room area of the home and brought it to his attention There was also a damaged area of duct work just
inside the access area of the attic space to the right of the opening, which I brought to his attention To gain access to the area in question I had to detach the duct work anyway, so I told him about that and assured him that I would repair the section in question, which I did Several days later he was having issues with insulation being blown into the house and to his credit he found a damaged area of return duct work located near the area I repaired, accused me of doing it, then demanded that I fixed it Keep in mind that another company had blown in the insulation he wanted us to remove prior to my work, and I'm convinced the damage to the ductwork was done then, but he never verified the integrity of the ductwork afterward, thus believing that we did the damage In the hopes of avoiding complaints like this one I fixed the damaged return, and upon inspection found extensive tape and repairs done before, so I could not have done the damage I paid for his wife and daughters to stay in a hotel room this past weekend, offered to pay for duct sealing at no charge, and offered to pay for another company to clean the ducts today, once again to avoid this type of complaint about my business I was prepared to do all of this when I received a text from MrD*** yesterday saying that he had found a three star hotel for them to stay in until Friday and to let him know when I had "taken care of it" At that point I decided to contact my prepaid legal service for advice on the matter

*** *** Mister *** claimed that if for any reason we were not satisfied with his product he would gladly remove itAs for the five dollar thermometers? I could have purchased one thousand dollar units and got the same resultAS for surface area? He is less than truthfulThe attics in question are both of the same area, and at the time we showed him the difference, he claimed the second(Unfinished Attic) was hotter due to his product in the first areaWrong and outright lieThe second attic was still in direct sunlight and his so called insulated attic was a full fifteen degrees hotter. I guess the next step is to have my lawyer contact his and take this to court

I would like to say first that this is the first complaint to the Revdex.com I have had from a client in my nine years in business and I am very disappointed This customer indicated to me that the upstairs area of their home was uncomfortable, so I offered them a solution They mentioned that
two different attic areas have similar temperatures as measured by their five dollar thermometers What they don't mention is that the attic we put the product into has approximately five times the roofline and will be much hotter to begin with than the smaller area they compared it to I have attached a spec sheet on the product we used Government laboratories have shown that the product does exactly what I told them it would do, that is, reduce the cooling loads in the upstairs area of their home So, let me make this very clear, it is scientifically IMPOSSIBLE for the product NOT to work.In almost any case, I would work with the customer to show them how the product is doing what I promised that it would do And I will gladly provide the names of MANY customers who have the product in their home and are very satisfied with the results to anyone concerned with the performance and my company However, as I mentioned this is a unique situation Not only is this the first complaint to the Revdex.com ever received, but this is also the first for my company in another respect Before I explain let me first say that both myself and my project manager who did the work in this home have never had a criminal record of any kind We both own our own homes and have families The reason I bring this up is because this couple accused me of taking a wedding ring from them while we were in their home At my behest a report was filed with the *** county sheriff's department, a detective interviewed the couple and myself, and both of us was cleared of any wrongdoing On advice from my attorney, I am not to have any interaction with this couple unless through him Also, if I was to refund any money it could be construed as an admission of guilt on my part and subject me to criminal chargesAnyone concerned can request a copy from the county as it is a matter of public recordSo there is really nothing I can do to try to make this couple happy and resolve their "issue" with my company I'm very disappointed in this entire experience These people have blemished an otherwise perfect reputation for my company and for no reason. And by the way, this gentleman never said a word about the Revdex.com to me If he had asked I would have told him that I am NOT a paying member, nor ever will be To be in business and pay for membership in a supposed consumer advocacy organization is a conflict of interest I could have told him that I had never had a complaint to the Revdex.com, however, something I can unfortunately no longer say.
