This is the response that we have forwarded to this customer.Dear Ms***:I do apologize that you are not happy with our employees and customer service. As for you dress size, it is stated on the contract you signed that we only recommend a size for you; you are in no way obligated to order the size we recommend You not only requested, agreed to the size, and signed for it on the contract, but you sent us a confirmation email ordering a size The size we recommended to you and you approved was based on the measurements we took But you also tried on our sample which was a size and it was huge on you and needed to be clipped in the back This is why you chose a size smaller, which was the size So ordering the size was not jus based on your measurement The size sample dress you tried on at the time of purchase was too big You took pictures of the sample size and showed it to all of our employees at the time of your fittingWhen you came in for one of your fittings, you tried on that same size sample, and that same dress was small and barley zipped I don't see how this makes us at fault Brides do gain weight or lose weight during planning a wedding because of the stress they go thru So it is not unusual that your measurements may have changed. We altered your dress so now it is able to zip up and only need minor alterations But since you are still not happy with itI am willing to refund what you have already paid in alterations so you can pick up your dress and get your alterations done elsewhereBut if you are seeking any additional compensation, I am going to have to deny that requestAs I stated above, the sample size that you tried at the time of the purchase was too big, and now that same sample is too small but you will not consider the fact that you are not the same size at the time of purchase I am sorry you are upset, but this is not something I can help you with Since you have filed a complaint with the Revdex.com, we will wait for their responseBut in the meantime, you should pick up your dress so you can begin your alterations elsewhereAnd also bring the credit card that was used at the time of purchase so we can issue you the credit The veil you paid for and then cancelled was applied to your alterations, and that is the only refund we will be giving youThank you.Elly *** [email protected]/01/at 6:PMI confirm size for my wedding gownReply, Reply All or Forward | More

Ms. [redacted] ordered her bridal salon on November 15, 2016. Her measurements at that time were Bust 32, Waist 27, Hips 36. According to the manufacturer's measurement chart, Kitty ***, she fitted into a size 2 in the bust, a size 6 waist, and a size 2 in the hips. ... We normally order a dress to fit the largest body measurements and then alter to fit the smaller part. This is the normal procedure in every bridal shop. We can always take in the dress, we cannot stretch it to let out. Also, on the Policy Guide, which was given to her and she signed that she received it, it states, "A size is then recommended by the consultant and chosen by the customer. We will ALWAYS accommodate the largest measurement when recommending a size. IF YOU PREFER A SIZE OTHER THAN THEONE RECOMMENDED, YOU MAY REQUEST YOUR SIZE BUT MUST TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY". Ms. ** requested size 6 and signed for it, as well as initialed next to the size she requested. The alterations were done to her complete satisfaction. She picked up the dress after they were completed on June 15, for a June 25, 2017 wedding. She signed a release stating, "DRESS INSPECTED, APPROVED AND OUT" on 6/15/2017.We did not hear from Ms. ** until July 13, a month after she picked it up and three weeks after the wedding was over. She spoke with the sales manager and demanded a refund on the alteration since she did purchase another gown (which we were never aware of), even though she wore this one to the wedding. She stated that if we don't refund her alteration, she will write to the BBB and blast us on the internet. She has already done both. No refund will be issued.Thank you.C. [redacted] Thank you.

Miss *** came in and purchased her wedding dress on 6/24/2017. She was told at the time of the purchase that the size that we will order for her is the largest size the manufacturers will make in a wedding dress. The size was thoroughly discussed with her. She approved the size
and initialed and signed the receipt approving the size. We explained to her that when the gown arrives, we will have to add a panel in the back to make the gown fitShe agreed to that and she also admitted this conversation in her complaint to you that she was told "once a panel is added...the dress would fit fine". She was also made aware that our alteration charge is $400, which would include adding the panel, hem, bustle and pressing. This alteration charge is printed very clearly on her receipt as well, that was signed by her. When the dress arrived, the bride came in, tried it on, signed a release and picked it up on 9/16/The release states: "The Dress Inspected, Approved and Out". The bride said she could not afford out alteration charge of $and picked up the dress to have the alterations done elsewhere for less. Her seamstress told her that the gown was small and needed to charge her $to alter it. The bride called us back on Saturday to say she not happy that the gown is small. We explained to her, again, why it was small and reminded her that she needed the panel. We told her that if we were to do the alteration and add the panel, the alteration charge is $as is marked on her receipt. We scheduled an appointment for her to meet with our seamstress at 4:that day. That was the only time we had open for alterations that same day, Saturday. Alteration does not close at 5:00. We close when we are done with our appointments. This was also made very clear to herShe never showed up for her appointment. We called her back and suggested to her that if she can't come back that day, we would be happy to set up an appointment on Monday or Tuesday to meet with our seamstress to get the dress altered. She said she would call us back and did not.In her complaint she stated that she had the dress altered for $and demands a refund for the alterationShe did not have the dress altered by us. Why she would ask us to pay for her alterations that were done elsewhere is a mystery to us. Every wedding dress eventually needs alterations. Every wedding dress needs some alterations. They are not custom made. Very rarely will a wedding dress fit perfect on the first visit. Not only that, it will need a bustle which does not come with the wedding dress and pressing after alterations are done. So she paid for work that needed to be done regardless of the size that was altered. We are glad that the gown now fits, as we promised her it would once the panel is added. Her God Mother does not have access to our designer or the measurement chart, nor was she present at the time we sold Miss *** the dress. And yet, she called us wanting to cancel and return the veil because her God daughter "did not know what she was doing when she ordered it". She insisted on a refund on the veil. She was very upset when we refused because the veil was ordered and cannot be cancelled. There will be no refund. We did not do the alterations and we will not refund money that was paid to another seamstress.Thank youHer God Mother came in on 9/16/when the gown arrived and was very upset with us that we sold her a veil, and insisted that she return the veil and we refund the money on the veil. This God Mother was not present at the time of the purchase. We refused to refund the veil as it was ordered and, in fact, had just arrived our salon on Monday, September 18. The bride said she could not afford out alteration charge of $and picked up the dress to have the alterations done elsewhere for less. Her seamstress informed her that the gown is too small. Miss *** knew the gown would be small when she purchased the gown. She knew it was the largest size the manufacturer makes is a size 30, which we ordered for her and she signed for the size. She knew that we needed to add a panel to make it fit. All of that was brought to her attention at th time of purchase. When she called us back on Saturday, we scheduled an appointment for her to meet with our seamstress at 4:That was the only time we had open for alterations. Not only that, it will need a bustle which does not come with the wedding dress and pressing after alterations are done. So she paid for work that needed to be done regardless of the size that was alteredWe are glad that the gown now fits, as we promised her it would once the panel is added. The seamstress she took it too, Evita Bridal, does not have access to our designer or the measurement chart, nor was she present at the time we sold Miss *** the dress. Alterations will need to be paid on any wedding dress, regardless of the size that was ordered. There will be no refund. We did not do the alterations on this gown. The alterations were done by her seamstress and the money was paid to her own seamstressThank you

Below is our initial response to the complaint that we had sent to youSince then, Miss *** came into our salon on 9/21/2017, and picked up her gownShe was also issued a refund for the $alteration charge which she accepted. Here is our response to the initial complaint."This bride came into
our salon, ordered her wedding dress on 8/21/during our Nicole Spose Trunk ShowNot only the name of the designer is inside the dress since it was their sample that she tried on, but the actual style number is printed very clearly on her receipt, ROAB She ordered size 8, signed and initialed for it approving the size, color and style number, and paid her balance in full when it arrived in April 2017, after she tried it on and approved it. the dress arrived as scheduled from Italy in a timely manner, 6-months as was promisedThe alteration started on July 3, for a September 30, wedding. Nakia came in for her first fitting and insisted that we alter the dress and make it so small on herShe also insisted not to wear a bra to support her triple D cups. Her logic was that if the dress was made tight enough, it would hold her bust up and replace a bra. We explained to her that a wedding dress does not give enough support without undergarment and cannot replace a bra. She refused to listenThe gown was taken in to make it smaller three times. It was made so tight on her, per her insistence, that she is actually busting out of it. We asked her to come back with the proper undergarment so that we can finish the alterations and fit it on her properly, she refused. The dress is now too tight on her and she was busting out of it because she insisted every time that we take it in to hold her triple D cups, and make it smaller and smaller. This made absolutely no sense and we tried to explain that to her as much as we could in between her yelling, screaming and swearing. She kept insisting that the dress was ordered big in a size and not a size 6. According to the measurement chart and the sample she tried on (which was a size 6), a size dress would never have fit a triple D bust. There is only two inch difference and even less between size and 8. The dress now is even smaller than a size trying to fit a triple D cup in it.Nakia's wedding is not until September 30, 2017. We asked her to come back with a bra and we will complete the alterations for her .and we will fit the dress properly She refused. The dress is here waiting for her to decide what to do."We also gave her several options including refunding her alteration charge and have her altered it elsewhere. She brought "a seamstress" for every fitting she had here. We would be happy to refund her alteration charge and allow her personal seamstress to alter her dress as she pleases. There will be no refund on the gown."9/21/2017MISS *** ACCEPTED THE $REFUND ON ALTERATIONS. WE HOPE THAT THIS COMPLAINT IS NOW CLOSED.Thank you.Chad G.Evas Bridal International

Miss *** came and PICKED UP her wedding dress over a month ago, accompanied by an Orland Park police officer She dropped in without an appointment, as was requested by my previous email to her. She was well aware that the alterations had not been completed and accepted the full $alteration refund, which was issued and given to her in front of the police officer. She also signed a release. There will be no further refunds or compensation. All her issues had been addressed already more than once. Furthermore, If the dress was destroyed as she claims, why did she come back and pick it up and sign a release? We have pictures of her in the dress to prove it was not destroyed as she claims All she needed was to wear the proper bra which she refused to wear to support her D+ cup. She wore a bra when she was measured. She wore a bra when she tried on and purchased the gownShe should have been wearing a bra for her fittings.Northing further can be offered to her. She accepted the full refund on the alterations and we consider this matter closed.Thank you.Chad G

This bride purchased a sample dress, off the rack, as is FINAL SALE, on Feb7, She picked it up and signed for it that same day and took it home with her She called us back and 3/20/and told us she changed her mind more than a month later, and told us she changed her
mind and wanted to choose another gown Even though the sample was off the rack FINAL SALE, we tried to accommodate her and make her happy This was our first mistake The gown was in her home more than a month She came in on March 20, 2016, and after three hours, re-selected to another wedding dress We re-wrote the contact and applied her deposit to the new contract, also, ALL SALES ARE FINAL She again signed the contract and went home happy and appreciative that we were able to accommodate her We thought that was the end of it. Unfortunately it was not! She called us again on August 24, 2016, months after, and told us she was not happy with that dress either and wants to re-select to another dress This was our second mistake and we said yes She came in and purchased a more expensive gown and put the difference in the deposit Again, signing "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" She asked us to get a beaded swatch in white The designer has sent us an unbeaded swatch that she did not like We waited until we received the beaded swatch and when it came it, we called her but she refused to come in to see it after all this troubleShe told us she found another dress in another bridal salon and does not want to purchase this gown from us She also sent us an email telling us she agreed to forfeit her deposit We have actually serviced this bride more than hours, staying after hours in our salon, for more than six months, just to make her happy No, we will not refund any moneyIn fact, since she signed three NON CANCELLATION, FINAL SALE contracts, we have the right to hold her responsible for all three dresses if we chose to do that which, according to our attorneys, we will.Thank you

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The complaint against Eva’s Bridal has not been resolved and Eva’s Bridal has failed to address the series of issues listed in the complaint.  The dispute is on going as Eva’s Bridal has failed to refund the total purchase amount of $3736.40 as I requested.  As stated before, the bridal gown was not received as described and guaranteed by Eva’s Bridal.  Eva’s Bridal mismatched my body measurements with the measurements of the size 8 bridal gown they recommended and they provided me with erroneous information about the actual measurements of the size 8 bridal gown they recommended.  Upon discovering their mistake, Eva’s Bridal refused my request to order the size 6 bridal gown.  Additionally, Eva’s Bridal guaranteed that they could alter the size 8 bridal gown to look and fit like the original size 6 bridal gown that I fitted.  It is quite obvious from the business response that they have failed to address each of the issues that led to this dispute. According to the business response, they are refusing to acknowledge and take responsibility for their horrific mistake, their deceptive sales practices and their poor customer service, including but not limited to faulty incomplete alteration services which destroyed the original form of the dress.  Eva’s Bridal summation of the entire sales transaction and subsequent dress fittings is a complete fabrication of why this issue has occurred.  As a customer that purchased and paid for a bridal gown for a very important event, the customer does not have a motive to fabricate a story.  Eva’s bridal, on th either hand, has many reasons (i.e. revenue, customers) to lie about the sales transaction.  Eva’s Bridal has proven to be a shady business with an ulterior motive to deceive and lie about a sales transaction since bridal wear is an expensive purchase.
Sincerely,
Nakia [redacted]

This is the response that we have forwarded to this customer.Dear Ms. [redacted]:I do apologize that you are not happy with our employees and customer service. As for you dress size, it is stated on the contract you signed that we only recommend a size for you; you are in no way obligated to...

order the size we recommend.  You not only requested, agreed to the size, and signed for it on the contract, but you sent us a confirmation email ordering a size 8.  The size 8  we recommended to you and you approved was based on the measurements we took.  But you also tried on our sample which was a size 10 and it was huge on you and needed to be clipped in the back.  This is why you chose a size smaller, which was the size 8.  So ordering the size 8 was not jus based on your measurement.  The size 10 sample dress you tried on at the time of purchase was too big.  You took pictures of the sample size 10 and showed it to all of our employees at the time of your fitting. When you came in for one of your fittings, you tried on that same size 10 sample, and that same dress was small and barley zipped.  I don't see how this makes us at fault.  Brides do gain weight or lose weight during planning a wedding because of the stress they go thru.  So it is not unusual that your measurements may have changed. We altered your dress so now it is able to zip up and only need minor alterations.   But since you are still not happy with it. I am willing to refund what you have already paid in alterations so you can pick up your dress and get your alterations done elsewhere. But if you are seeking any additional compensation, I am going to have to deny that request. As I stated above, the sample size 10 that you tried at the time of the purchase was too big, and now that same sample is too small but you will not consider the fact that you are not the same size at the time of purchase.     I am sorry you are upset, but this is not something I can help you with.   Since you have filed a complaint with the Revdex.com, we will wait for their response. But in the meantime, you should pick up your dress so you can begin your alterations elsewhere. And also bring the credit card that was used at the time of purchase so we can issue you the credit.  The veil you paid for and then cancelled was applied to your alterations, and that is the only refund we will be giving youThank you.Elly [redacted] <elly[redacted]@yahoo.com>[email protected]/01/15 at 6:18 PMI confirm size 8 for my wedding gownReply, Reply All or Forward | More
