As a newly engaged woman, I was extremely excited to begin my hunt for THE GOWN. Unfortunately, after my encounter with Eva's bridal in Oak Lawn and more specifically Ranja I have lost a bit of steam because of how rude and downright mean they were to me.
My issue with this salon started because I snapped a photo of a tag in order to provide the style number to the receptionist to keep track of the gowns I liked. Immediately following the click of the camera a woman appeared and ordered me to delete the photo and also told me that she had the right to look in my phone to determine if I deleted it. Having someone order me about in this rude fashion immediately turned me completely off, but I deleted the photo as requested even though I was never previously told that pictures were not allowed, nor is there any signage warning patrons of this posted in the shopping area.
After about 10 minutes of looking around the store without any sales person ever even approaching to assist me, Ranja, the manager, appeared and literally demanded that I show her my phone and delete the image. Mind you, I had already deleted the picture the first time I was rudely asked. I told Ranja this, yet she still demanded to see my phone, which is illegal I am sure, I refused and proceeded to leave. But before I turned to leave I decided to prove to her that I had deleted it. I showed her my phone and she had the audacity to say that it no longer mattered. She basically just needed a reason to put me out of her salon.
Initially I was angry over this situation, but after I was more hurt than anything. Ranja is a mean and manipulative person and I would NEVER step foot into that salon nor would I suggest it to anyone else.
The manager at this location wil act dumb because she doesn't want to help you when her employee clearly doesn't know what she is doing! The seamstress wrote down on my paper three sizes and told me to pick one so I did now she's telling me that didn't happen and I chose my own size. After her acting dumb for twenty min I swore and she told me my kid must be real lucky to have a mother like me... Seriously.
