Re: Complaint #***
Dear *** ***:
We certainly do apologize for any damages and upset to our customer’s neighbor, Mr*** ***.
Mr***
contacted our sales representative on 12/27/Tuesday; who in turn contacted the office to address Mr*** issues. ***, the arborist of record, offered to have the crew return to do any missed debris or pruning. Mr*** declined the offer.
Mr*** told our customer service department that he wanted $for a damaged fence topper. Mr*** declined to send photos showing the damages. The customer service department sent the information to our management group; they in turn authorized the check to be cut to Mr*** with our express apologies
Mr*** did not wait to hear if we would comply with his request but immediately started a Revdex.com Complaint, on the 27th.
Most businesses have a procedure that is followed in these instances; a check would have been cut on Friday the 30th when all checks are cut. We would have appreciated the opportunity to address this without his immediate contact to the Revdex.com. We have been in business since and strive to address issues in a timely professional manner
The check is being sent
Sincerely,

Business Response:
Good afternoon:
We will put *** *** ** *** *** *** ***, Woodinville , WA on our “Do Not Approach List” and she will not be contacted again. If she would like to give us her phone numbers that reach them, they will also be put on the “Do Not Call List”
Our canvasser actually spoke to the husband about “meeting” with a neighbor named *** (9-1-@ 4:00PM), and we have “worked" with one of her neighbors (*** on Crystal Lake Rd)
Our canvasser said that there was a no soliciting sign in the front of the development, but this house did not have a sign
Our canvasser said that she spoke with the husband, who took extensive time discussing all the tree issues he had throughout his backyard.
Apparently, the husband went in to see if his wife wanted to meet with us; she became angry because she had just said no to one of our telemarketers. He came out and said no
Thank you,

RE: Complaint [redacted]

Good Afternoon:

Our consulting Arborist responded:

Initial conversations with [redacted] and [redacted] were to analyze the trees on their new property....

They expressed the desire for removal of a Poplar and Douglas Fir.  They decided to have the Fir and Poplar removed; approved; signed the contract and gave a 10% deposit.
Prior to the scheduled date to do the work, they had someone else trim some of the limbs over the house on the Fir tree. (The other company trimmed foliage, not long limbs.)
I met [redacted] at 8:00 am the next day to go over the work to be done with the remaining poplar – the contract was adjusted – (since they had breached the original contract and used a company to do work on the Fir).

We removed the Poplar as contracted.  The cost for the service was bid correctly and completely in line with the fees we charge all our clients.  No refund will be forth coming for removal of a 110’ tree that took more than one day to remove.

Safety wise, I instructed them that the Fir tree was about as clean as could be (Evergreen tree had previously trimmed the tree for the old owner 2-3 years prior) they wanted it removed and then changed their minds.  How is this unfair business practices, they had someone else in to do the pruning on this tree that they decided to do.

I advised them that we use outside vendors that come pick up the larger trunk wood at a charge of $100 per cord.  They stated they didn’t want to pay any more money.  I spoke to them about trying to give the wood away.  We agreed that if they couldn’t give the wood away they could contact our vendor for an exact price of removing the remaining wood.  (I actually saw someone with a truck picking up some of the wood the next day, so I thought all was good.)

I also advised them that Evergreen does not stump grind that we also use vendors that do that work.  I had guestimated a price of appx. $450.00.  I told [redacted] that the grinder companies would give them an exact price up front before doing the work.  They would pay the grinder directly.

Now they want a refund for wood removal and stump grinding – something that we do not do.   We do not provide this service, they were told that.  Why would we pay them $1420.00 to haul the wood and remove the stump from a 110’ Poplar.

This is an offer in good faith – I will offer $1000.00 and they will be taken off all contact lists.   They will have a removal at a substantially reduced price with this offer!!!

I await the response,

Re: Complaint #[redacted]

Dear [redacted]:

Ms. [redacted] signed a contract that clearly stated the work that was to be performed.  We were to “Crown Clean One Fir Tree”...

for $500.00.  She did not, nor did her salesman state on the contract “She wanted only 3 branches removed.”

The crew performed the service as they stated below:
“We went through the canopy of the tree removing the broken, dead and dangerous branches and thinned the tree appropriately so the wind can pass through more effectively.”  When we were done Ms. [redacted] was wondering why I hadn't taken a significant portion of the large structural branches off the tree. She was concerned that they would fall off the tree.  I explained to her that these limbs were all individually checked for integrity and left because they are the strongest limbs on the tree and provide the structure of the tree. If you start taking out a lot of large branches in a tree like this there's too much space in between the remaining branches and then in a load such as ice or snow or heavy rain they tend to snap off because there's nothing there to support them. It would not be my recommendation remove these limbs because it would actually end up making the tree more dangerous. I explained all these things to her; before I left she signed a satisfaction sheet and gave me a check in full for the balance.”

This crew performed services for the tree on Ms. [redacted] property; Ms. [redacted] derived benefit from the services provided.  We did not call the 10% discount of $50.00 and a $10.00 Starbucks card with our apologies -restitution.  This was in compensation for her misunderstanding the scope of work that was done.  Had we done what she wanted it would affect the structural integrity of the tree.  We offered her that compensation as a sign of good will.

She expects the crew and salesman to go without compensation for work that was performed that she derived benefit for… making her tree a safer tree…..  ????

We will refund the balance of the money for all the work done that she refuses to pay for.  She will be taken off all of our lists so she will not be contacted again.  Another company can perform what she wants whether it is in her best interest or not.

Sincerely,

Kathy K[redacted]

[redacted] The details of this matter are as follows: Complaint Involves: Billing or Collection Issues ...

Customer’s Statement of the Problem: They never finished the work. Whenever I call them and tell them I will pay for the work done, they said they would look into it and call me back. They never call me back yet send me over-due bills and said they will send me to a collection agency. They told me not to pay so they can fix the problem. Also your web site says they are not a creditable Revdex.com business but on there web page they say they are Complaint Background: Product/Service: Tree servce Purchase Date: 4/2/2017 Problem Occurred: 4/16/2017 Model:  Account Number:  Order Number:  Talked to Company: 6/2/2017 Talked to Company (2nd): 6/23/2017 Name of Salesperson:   Purchase Price: $4000.00 Disputed Amount: $0.00 Desired Settlement: Billing Adjustment I just want to pay them what I owe and have them leave me alone Company Response: We are an A+ rated Revdex.com company.  We no longer provide service in the Spokane market so we no longer carry that market.  The west side of the state with the address of [redacted] will show you our accreditation.   Mr. [redacted] work started March 24th.  We were unable to perform part of the work for safety reasons.  We credited the work we were unable to do and sent the new statement with the changes reducing the amount owed on April 4th.    No payment was forthcoming so past due statements were sent.  We received the Revdex.com complaint on the same day that Mr. [redacted] paid for the adjusted invoice. We are paid in full and are fine.  I assume he is as well.

Revdex.com:
To be clear the $50 is to cover the cost of the damaged fence cap, the broken decorative flags I had in the area, the broken and needing to be trimmed vine maple branches and the cleanup I needed to do as I did not want workers coming back to my property who did not have the initial courtesy to respect my property when on site.  In reading the company's response one would think they were the one that was inconvienced by this event.  To be clear if care and respect of my property had taken place to begin with as it should have been I would not have initiated this complaint.I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]

I would like to accept Evergreen’s offer of a $1000 payable to me at the address below.
