Everest Cash Advance Reviews (47)

Review: On 8/4/2014 at 4:00pm Eastern time, I received a voice message from [redacted] stating that Everest Cash Advance is filing fraud charges against me for a pay day loan I never repaid in 2012. I called the number and spoke to someone by the name of [redacted] stated that their attorney is [redacted] and that I should get a criminal attorney. She further stated that Everest Cash Advance stated I should not call them. I need a full investigation of this matter immediately. Thank You!Desired Settlement: Everest cash advance needs to contact the caller at 1[redacted] so they can update their records and send me a written letter of the resolution and stating that I do not owe them any money.

Review: I recieved a payday loan from Everest cash advance. As of 7/22/13, my account on the website showed only a $25 balance outstanding. Since that date, multiple payments have been debited from my account for more than quadruple that amount. I have requested the unauthorized payments to stop, they are still debiting from my account. I have incurred almost $200 in overdraft fees from these unauthorized debits. I also learned that payday loans are illegal in the state of MarylandDesired Settlement: I would like the debits to stop and a refund of all overdraft fees and all payments taken in access of the amount shown as owed.

Review: I have been trying to contact Everest Cash Advance. I noticed that their website is down. Which is where I go to view my balance. I had take out a $100 payday loan and I needed to know how much they were taking out on my pay day. They were supposed to take out the money on August 22nd. They did not. I contacted their email address and ask why it was not taken out. I did not get a reply. They were to take out another payment on Sept 7th. They did not. Then on Sept 9th they take out the money and cause an overdraft and fee of $25.00. This was because I did not know how much to have in my account AND they took it out on the wrong day. I then emailed them again because I need to know my balance and they need to compensate me for that over draft.Desired Settlement: I would like to know my balance and would like the payments to be taken out only on my paydays as agreed upon. I would also like to be compensated the $25.00 overdraft fee.

Review: I had gotten an online paid day loan through Everest Cash Advance in Sept 2014 due to suffering from hardship. The loan was for $500 and they were taking payments out of my checking account every two weeks for the repayments. I had paid them back a total of $525. I then had to close my checking account due to fraudulent activity. I know have a collection agency called TAR calling from [redacted] threatening that if I didn't pay the balance of $899.25 in full that they would send it back to Everest and that it would not be good for me. The two representatives that I spoke with at TAR didn't provide their names. They were really rude and nasty and down right ugly to me. I tried to explain to them that I am a single mother with two small children and that my company that I work for got bought out and that I was losing my job come the first of the year. They were not willing to work with me at all. After speaking with the second representative and being so upset and crying because he pretty much belittled me, I hung up on him. A female immediately called me back and said that she was a supervisor and that she could work with me. I told her that I couldn't afford anymore then $100 a month because of my situation. If I only borrowed $500 and paid back $525 how can I still owe them $899.25?????? I tried to reach out to Everest Cash Advance to verify the payments that I had made to them and was told that they didn't have access to my account anymore and that I would need to contact the 3rd party that has the account information and they do not control what the 3rd party does. I had no choice but to go ahead and set up payment arrangements with TAR because they were threatening me with a garnishment which I cant afford to have well over $400 taken out of my pay check every two weeks.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the amount that I have paid to Everest Cash Advance deducted from the $899.25 that they are claiming that I still owe them. I have also found out that they are not licensed to do business in the state of Virginia.

Review: Everest cash had every oppurtunity to take money out of my acct when I took out the loan. They did not. Now they are telling me they are sueing me for over 800 dollars when the loan was only 200. And it's not legal in Massachusetts to sue or threaten to sue. I want them to stop harassing me.Desired Settlement: Stop the threatening phone calls to sue me and to threaten to send someone to my house

Review: 1. details were not fully explained

2. harassing at work even after asked not to

3. demanding credit card number

4.refusing to help with repayment plan

5. trying to subpoena me over the phone demanding on march 31st be at work or at home or elseDesired Settlement: 1.accept the money I already paid

2. help with reasonable payment plan

Review: I noticed money was missing from bank account and I went to my bank and checked it out. I noticed that Everest Cash Advance had taken out $150.00 And have been since July 29. I called Everest Cash Advance and told them I never gave them authorization for them to do anything with my account. They told me there was nothing I could do about it. So now I have to change my bank account.Desired Settlement: I paid $150.00 every other week since July 29,2013. they took $500.00

Very professional when applying but then as soon as there is an issue with me actually receiving my funds, each customer service representative I spoke with told me something different, and some information was an outright lie. None of them actually knew what they were talking about, and were extremely rude when I was attempting to get basic questions answered. I have never used a service like this and needed to do it as a one time thing until my husband got his 1st paycheck. I will never make this mistake again!

Review: I recieved a call from a group called [redacted] Solutions regarding a pay-day loan from the company Everest Cash. My first complaint is that I have never used this company for a loan. I have never been contacted by Everest (phone, email, mail) and had no idea they had an open account with my information. I tried to call the company but I cannot get any information from them. It is either a case of Identity Theft or a scam.Desired Settlement: I would like proof including signed contracts that I had a loan with them and I want proof that money was transfered to an account in my name.

Review: In 2012 I took out a loan to help with financial situations until I could get back on my feet. The type of loan that was taken out was a "pay day loan." I was unaware how pay day loans operate, I thought they were like any other loan. To my surprise, they're not like every other loan. I had planned to pay whatever it is I owed on the loan but could never log into the account to get the information. I received a phone call today (10/8/14) from a collection agency on behalf of "Everette Cash Advance." I was basically threatened by scare tactics and rudely approached by some guy (whose name I don't think was ever mentioned) telling me I passed "bad checks across state lines." I was also told I was a fraud amongst other rude descriptions. Whenever I tried to get a word in, I was rudely interrupted over and over.

First of all I never sent a check, for ANYTHING. This company committed fraud by trying to process funds from my account, after I contacted them not to because the loan contract was illegal. They couldn't get the funds because my bank was informed about the illegal lending and my bank explained how these sleazy pay day loan lenders work and I was encouraged to close out my account.Desired Settlement: I have tried to contact these people in the past to no avail to make good on whatever funds I was loaned. I want nothing further to do with this company, and if they contact me any further I will be taking legal action against them. These people need to be put out of business and sent away for years for what they are doing to people. Pay Day loans ARE illegal in the State of New York, and they know it and they're trying to get away with it!

Review: It has come to my attention that ALL consumer lenders INCLUDING tribal entities and offshore companies must be licensed by the State of California Department of Corporations in order to offer loans to California residents. I am a resident of California and since the company has NO license in my state, the loan contracts that I have with you are NOT valid and non-enforceable. A Desist and Refrain letter from the CA Dept. of Corporations to Everest Cash Advance can be found on the CA dept of business oversite gov't website: http://www.dbo.ca.gov/ENF/List/e/default.asp . I received $500.00 (US) and my spouse received $785.00 (US) totalling $1,285.00. COMBINED AND FROM THE SAME ACCOUNT, we have paid back $2,498.00 to Everest Cash Advance. We have given them above and beyond the principal amount of the loan. We are due a credit of $1,213 (over the principal amount) given the loan was illegal and you have been illegally collecting interest on it. The bank account has since been closed due to fraud. This information has been sent to the company for their review and I have not recieved a response from them. Now I have collection agencies pretending to be a law office contacting me, my spouse, my parents and relatives indicating my personal business and that if I do not pay, I will be served with a lawsuit and a Sheriff will come to my home. They are unethical, immoral and preying on people who live in the US for money. They are continuously calling, threatening me and my spouse even after we asked them to stop calling and contact us by mail. It is abusive, agressive, unethical and illegal. We have given them above and beyond the principal amount of the loan yet they continue to try to extort money from us.Desired Settlement: Cease and desist all collection activity and mark the account paid in full and closed.

Review: I applied for a loan with Everest Cash Advance and they claim I was approved for the loan. After 5 business days of calling that I did not receive the loan requested we did a conference call with my bank to verify NO FUNDS WERE EVER DEPOSITED INTO MY ACCOUNT. I was told that I would receive a letter stating that the loan didn't go through. I asked for this letter because I told them I don't want anyone going into my account for MONEY I DID NOT AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED. And of course they went into my account and STOLE MONEY AS I DO NOT HAVE A LOAN WITH THESE CROOKS. If there is a way to sue them trust I am checking into the Delaware's banking rules and regulations against these peopel.Desired Settlement: I would like a letter stating that they will not debit my account for MONEY I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED and I would like it signed by an authorized supervisor. Also please delete my information from their database!

Review: On or about 10/20/2013, I contacted Everest Cash Advance regarding a payment that appeared at the time to overdraw my account. I obtained a signed copy of my bank statement which verified that my overdraft protection covered the amount of $650.00. On 10/23/2013, I received an email stating that my account had been paid. Subsequent to this email, I resubmitted verification of payment a third time along with a signed letter from my credit union stated that the $650.00 was taken out of my account on 10/15/2013. Each time Everest stated that the provided documentation did not meet requirements. I refuse to permit Everest to have access to all financial information which would appear in my statement. Since that time, I receive constant voice mail messages and now am being contact by a collection agency.

I believe that it is not Everest Cash Advance's priviledge to view financial statements which are not a concern for the company. Telephone calls attempting to collect a debt which has been paid should desist immediately. I am also requesting that company allegations of payment be forwarded to me in writing as well as the name of collection agency in use. Telephone communications with this agency are very garbled and unclear. I am following up these requests in writing and will expect the same courtesy in regards to my requests, thank you.Desired Settlement: A letter of accusations of non-payment and verification showing that debt was not paid.

Review: Everest Cash Advance for 1 year has promised they would bring up their online account management function while continuing to take majority interest payments from my account. I made a loan of $400 in November of 2012 and to date (11/23/2013) I have paid $2,310.50. They say I still owe $130 towards principle but I have never gotten the itemized breakdown of charges I requested several times now. I have been waiting to get the online ability to self manage pay back but they continue to promise it will be working some time soon.

I recently received a letter that they have to "update my bank information" because they can't take any more payments. The website has changed from "everestcashadvance.com" to "everestcashadvance1.com" that was indication to me that 1) they are having legal problems and 2) they are not reputable. I only then looked them up on the Revdex.com and saw the complaints so I decided to file one of my own.Desired Settlement: I want my account to be closed as paid in full at minimum. I would like to get a refund but I am not sure of the legal grounds since I have never received any real documentation of terms from the company.

Review: I called this and I emailed them more than once to let them know I know had my pay check direct deposited and the funds would not be in my bank account in the morning of scheduled drafts. I asked that they wait until the following Monday to draft as the funds would be available at that time. They took the funds anyway before my pay check could be deposited and caused my bank to charge me nsf and overdraft fees.Desired Settlement: I want them to draft my account AFTER the friday that I get paid. They always draft 1st thing in the morning and the funds ARE NOT there.

Review: On March 21, 2013 I borrowed $400 from Everest, and Agreed to repay them $460 on April 11, 2013. At which time my debt would be Paid in full. I authorized the Direct debit from my checking account, and had the funds available on April 11, 2013 as promised. Everest instead had taken a series (7) of random debits ($60 to $140) from my account totaling $822. And claims I still owe them $380. Which they intend to take out over 23 random payments. I have tried to access my account with them online to see what is going on, but they claim it is now unavailable. The online agreement with them "Mysteriously" will no longer open (I had saved it on my CPU). They refuse to explain why the $460 was taken as I authorized, and only state that the $822 paid so far was mostly interest. Finding no help with them I have now turned to you and my bank.Desired Settlement: If possible I would like a refund of the $362 that they have OVERDRAWN my account.

Response:

Everest Cash Advance values your business and regrets that you are

dissatisfied with our services. Short

term credit in not an inexpensive way to borrow funds and is not suitable for

long-term borrowing needs.

Review: I've tried numerous times calling them and was on hold for hours at a time after about 4 hours some one finally helped me due to funds not transfered my account is negative and being charged NSF fees due to not living up to the wire transferDesired Settlement: The bank has charged me 72.00 for the money not being wired like it was supposed to

Review: I took out a payday loan with this company on 07/22/13 for the amount of $500.00.

The company made automatic withdrawals from my checking account, at this point, for a total of $775.00;

8/8/13: $150.00

8/21/13: $150.00

9/9/13: $150.00

9/18/13: $150.00

10/2/13: $175.00

These were not agreed upon dates, and in a couple of cases resulted in overdraft charges to my bank account.

I have been unable to access my agreement or installment information at the company's web site. Since October 3, 2013 I have been trying to have collections stopped/obtain information regarding any remaining balance, if any, and to arrange for immediate, full payment of any remaining balance, if any, without success despite many attempts.

The company has recently sent multiple emails and a letter stating they can no longer do automatic withdrawals and asking for debit card information so further payments may be processed. My attempts to contact them regarding this situation have been fruitless. The company has implied my credit rating might be affected if I failed to supply debit card information.Desired Settlement: At this point, I would like a letter from the company stating my account has been paid in full. I would like them to record my payment as paid in full, and cease all attempts to contact me or withdraw further funds.

I supposedly had a loan which I know I paid off and now they are and did threaten to put me in jail if I did not pay the 300.00 I am turning this over to my police dept here. And which like a fool I paid half of it and will let the police dept handle the rest
