I'm writing to submit a review about All Star Landscaping. After the blizzard on Feb 13-14, I called them on Feb 15 to dig me out. Murray Countway said that he would be able to fit me in at the end of the afternoon or early evening, but would not pin down to a price. I called him later in the afternoon, and he set the price of $75 and said they should be here by 6.
I called at 6:30 and he said that they were just finishing off a job in Fall River and that I was next on the list and that they should be here in an hour. He strived to reaassure me that they were coming. He also asked me if we had agreed on a price and I reminded him of the $75 he had quoted and he gave me the e-mail address to send it.
They did not show by 7:30 and he called me at 8:30 to say that I was next on the list and they'd be here soon and once again tried to reassure me that they were definitely coming. When I tried to pin him down to a time and reminded him that he had told me that I was next on the list at 6:30 and that he'd said they'd be here an hour later he basically threatened to leave me in the lurch.
He told me he'd already turned down 100 people that day and that I was lucky to have him doing my driveway and once again assured me that I was next on the list. He said that if I was too fussy about when he came he could drop me off his list and that I should be grateful he was coming to clear my driveway because he'd turned down so many people. Basically I felt completely threatened and not able to say or do anything - I was at his mercy.
At 10pm he stopped answering his phone. He never contacted me again and his people never showed.
I'm not seeking resolution - I just don't believe that a business that repeatedly lies to its customers and then doesn't deliver on promises should not have an A+ rating on the Revdex.com. If it does, then the Revdex.com doesn't mean anything.
