Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because It is clear that Evergreen Tire refuses to take responsibility for faulty workmanship in regard to the re-installation of the oil pan as part of their repair process. Subsequent to their work, a significant oil pan leak was identified by *** *** *** who then re-installed the oil pan at a cost of $+ tax. Evergreen Tire offered to reimburse $6.65, the cost for an oil pan gasket alone What Evergreen Tire did or did not charge for the oil pan re-installation as part of their other repairs is not the point. Their faulty workmanship required additional expense to redo and rectify their work, and that amount is what I seek.It is also clear that Evergreen Tire refuses to take responsibility for their failure to correctly diagnose and resolve the engine performance problems that were noted prior to their work and not addressed during the two weeks that they had the car in their shop. Subsequently, *** *** *** correctly diagnosed the issues as a fuel trim mapping problem requiring a fuel trim mapping reset at a cost of $+ tax. Evergreen Tire had the car from 1/30/to 2/15/and did not resolve the performance issues. Their failure to address and resolve the fuel mapping problem required additional expense to rectify and that amount is what I seek.Evergreen Tire continues to only offer $to resolve the additional cost of $paid by me to *** *** *** made necessary by inadequate workmanship I will now end attempts to remedy through Revdex.com efforts and will proceed with appropriate legal remedies

specified by the manufacturer whatsoever, there was a zero mileage warranty. We offer tire protection plans where we can assist with warranty situation in extenmuating circumstances maybe like his. To whom it may concern,I have reached out to [redacted] Numerous times Via phone and left messages to try and resolve this issue. In regards to his complaint on having sufficient time, The car had been dropped off on 1/30/2017 it then was looked at on the 31st and it was found as our pre-diagnosis determined that the turbo had suffered catastrophic failure due to lack of maintenance of a inline turbo oil filter never being changed. [redacted] was then called and given the estimates based upon the technicians pre-diagnosis findings. It was also noted the oil seal in the turbo had blown causing the engine to ingest through the intake and burn oil. Because the failure was so severe and had shot metal shrapnel in the engine it was recommend that a leak down test was performed to make sure the engine was not ruined, also recommended the oil pan be removed to inspect the bearings and check for any further engine damage to make sure engine replacement wasn't necessary and before moving forward with doing the turbo repairs wanted to make sure the engine was still okay.[redacted] the customer then spoke with [redacted] his grandparent about the necessary diagnosis to move forward and a few days later approved the engine leak down test and oil pan removal (Not to be confused with remove and replace) Which it was resulted in finding a ton of metal shards from the exploded turbo in oil pan and oil pick up tube. See pictures attached shown and sent to customer. Also the engine leak down results came out good showing less than 5% leak down in all cylinders. The customer then was told that the engine seemed to be okay and it was okay to move forward with the repairs of the turbo. The customer was advised that and engine oil pan was full of shards oil flush and cleaning be recommended because of the metal fragments in the oil could have already circulated through the engine which could result in future leaks or oil restrictions and would require the engine to be flushed with and engine oil clean and the oil changed twice and the oil pan would need to be removed again to clean any extra fragments after the engine flush however this was also declined by the customer. Since it as declined to do the engine flush which included the metal shards being cleaned told the customer that we would as a courtesy clean out the metal shards from the pan and the oil pick up tube to prevent any further damage being done to the engine and the new turbo but was explained that he would need to pay the labor to replace the oil pan. Due to the customers low budget constraints they did not want to pay for the oil pan to be re-installed. It was explained to them the car could not be ran again wit out the oil pan being re installed so in order to complete the job it needed to be put back on. So as a courtsey free of charge we re-installed the oil pan and only charged them for the gasket at our cost of $6.65 seen as line item Engine Oil Pan Gasket QTY 1.00 - 6.65 6.65 [redacted]. In addition, it was noted by the tech that the oil cooler seal had leak, passenger headlight bulb was out, the alternator belt was loose, spark plugs were worn, had 3 check engine lights, [redacted] faulty left front ABS sensor, [redacted] - intake camshaft position timing (which can be caused by low or dirty oil) [redacted] Throttle actuator control range perfomance bank 1 (could have been casued from metal shrapnel getting sucked through intake limiting range). Battery tested in poor condition. Repairs were suggested for the above issues however declined by the customer. Furthermore the oil cooler leak was never fixed and is located by the oil pan and could have been mistaken as an oil pan leak by the third shop.  So then we spent 2-3 days trying to find the cheapest option for the customer as they explained buget being a main concern and a new turbo was in excess of a $1000 a rebuilt one was approved and requested. It was told to customer that it would take a few days because the old turbo would have to be mailed to Seattle and then once receieved by the rebuilder they would send a new rebuilt tubro back which then took in total 4-5 days in transit. By this time [redacted] was wanting the car back asap because he was moving back to Gig Harbor. So after the completion of the reinstalled turbo the car had no check engine lights and was test driven by the tech and found that the car had been fixed in-regards to the failed turbo. However some of the items and repairs noted and declined by the customer still existed at this time IE Oil Cooler gasket leak. "On 3/15/17 it was brought to [redacted] with problems of significant oil leak, check engine light coming on, engine running rough, timing off, plugs firing in wrong order and leaking intake gaskets.  They assumed that the oil leak was from leaking intake gaskets which were then replaced.  The check engine light no longer came on.  So, in their view all problems should be resolved.  As a courtesy, an oil and filter change was done as well."Later it seems [redacted] took it to Subaru with complaints of an oil leak and running issues. It was found by Subaru that the intake manifold had a oil leak which has nothing to do with any work we performed to the turbo also they were instructed by [redacted] to look for an oil leak. Where no mention of any oil pan leak was found. It was then later taken to [redacted] where he was told it needed fuel trim remapping again this has nothing to do with the turbo being removed and replaced and would have been at fault of Subaru. [redacted] and [redacted] then did a fix for an oil pan leak which Im assuming they finally also fixed the Oil cooler gasket leak that was originally found to be leaking when the car first was brought in and was replaced with the oil pan gasket because they are in close proximity. To sum things up there is no money to be refunded for the oil pan because it was a service that was never intailly paid for to have an amount to be refunded. If the customer would like us to refund the $6.65 for the Oil pan Gasket I would be happy to do so. If there are any further questions please let me know. I have also attached the technician worksheet from when the car was originally inspected.

Subject: Re: Revdex.com COMPLAINT # [redacted] VS EVERGREEN TIRE/AMERICAN CAR CARE CENTERTo whom it may concern,In regards to this complaint [redacted] had his grand son bring in his 2006 Subaru Outback because it had loud engine noises. Upon Diagnosis it was found that the car had severely...

lacked routine maintenance and it was found that the Turbocharger had completely self destructed inside of its housing resulting in lack of power and loud engine noise. The customer approved this to be fixed. It was explained to the customer this was the main problem and that we wouldn't be able to test if there were any other problems until this was fixed because it was such a severe failure.  We had performed the authorized repairs and replaced the turbocharger which was the most outstanding issue upon it first being brought in. After completion the customers grandson who attends school in Pullman, Washington was on a tight time and needed the car back to move back to the west side of the state. So after completion of the turbocharger we were not authorized or given any other time to further look into any other compiling issues that may have been present or masked by the catastrophic failure of the turbo. A few weeks later [redacted] Called us stating he had taken the car to Subaru for it having shifting issues which he has failed to mention in this complaint. He had mentioned they performed an intake manifold gasket (unrelated to the turbo charger being replaced). After taking it to Subaru unsatisfied with their repairs, he then took it to [redacted], which they stated the car needed the fuel trim re mapping done which would have been at fault of the Subaru dealer and was completely unrelated to any repairs we had performed which was explained to [redacted] by myself and [redacted] the owner of [redacted]. For example this would be the same as saying, "you change my radio station in my car and my transmission wont shift right." Two totally unrelated items. Also it was claimed the oil pan gasket had leaked which we never charged for and was never mentioned to be leaking while at the Subaru dealer. I spoke with [redacted] and told him I will talk with [redacted] at [redacted] who re-assured me that none of the repairs we had performed were related to any of [redacted] complaints and [redacted] with [redacted] the Following day reached out to [redacted] and explained to him in a 15-20 min phone call, as he told me he has done numerous times that the work Evergreen Tire performed is unrelated and at no fault of Evergreen Tire for his other issues. It is believed that [redacted] is having a hard time understanding how the repairs done are unrelated. I have tried reaching out to [redacted] several times with no reply since I spoke with [redacted] at [redacted] with no returned phone calls. As you can see both invoices from our shop and Brains shop are attached and all other repairs that were done were not involved with replacing the turbo. If there is any further questions feel free to reach out.Thank you,[redacted]

Review: On April 4 my car wouldn't start. I contacted Evergreen Tire to schedule an appointment to have the car inspected. I had it towed to Evergreen. I was told I needed a new battery. The car was kept over the weekend. I had a battery installed and paid the bill ($153.51).

On May 22, the car wouldn't start again. I had it towed again to Evergreen. This time I was told that I needed a new alternator, that the "chime" that signals my car lights are on or the keys were left in the ignition had drained the battery which then damaged the alternator. I had a new alternator put in, the "chime" was disconnected so as not to drain the battery/alternator again. The car was kept over the weekend. I paid the bill of $477.32 when I picked up the car on Monday May 25.

The car had been driven to my home from the shop (less than 1 mile) were it sat for 4 days. When I went to start the car on May 29 it was dead. I went back to Evergreen on May 30 to let them know the car was dead again.. I was given a "jump box" to start the battery because I wasn't willing to pay for another tow. I went back to Evergreen later the same day.

I was told it was the wiring that regulated the door locks that was draining the battery so that was disconnected. I was told I would have to lock and unlock my doors with the key.

On Monday, May 29 when I went to drive my car the radio didn't work and neither did the sun roof. Both had been working properly before taking the car to Evergreen. This has gone on long enough.

I have no idea if I really needed a battery or an alternator in the first place since replacing both of them, the car continues to have problems. I want a full refund so I may take the car to another shop. Clearly, this shop isn't equipped to solve the problems.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund. The car needs to be reevaluated by another mechanic. Every time I got the car back, I had a different set of problems despite assurances the car had been fixed.
