Review: The fencing installer installed a gate improperly with a crooked hinge and uneven seams between the gate and posts. Despite six weeks of arguing, and two return visits he has not repaired the hinge correctly and used deceptive tactics to try to convince me to accept the faulty workmanship as being normal and correct. Example: He placed a framing square, holding it against the hinge, making it appear as if the hinge is squarely installed, whereas the correct way to hold the square is against the post, which clearly shows a crooked hinge installation.
The installer is a General Manager for a branch office of Everlasting Fence Co. I called the main office and spoke with the company vice-president and explained that he needs to send another installer to correct the problem because the installer is stonewalling the matter and arguing very irrationally against what is visible to the naked-eye as defective workmanship.
Despite this, the company sent the same individual and the result was no remedy and more and more irrational argumentation by the installer.Desired Settlement: I want the fencing company to send another technician to fix the gate problem or allow a discount on the price so I can afford to call another contractor to fix it.
But most importantly I want the company to be aware of the unethical conduct of its employee and how an innocent customer can suffer so much unnecessary hassle from the unscrupulous willful misconduct of it's employee.
