then found the repairs to be sub-standard and incomplete. After having another mechanic inspect the oil issue the customer calls the corporate office of the first shop and then brings the vehicle to us at "Every Tire and Wheel", where we lift the car for the insurance adjuster to inspect. After finding the issues of concern Travelers insurance agrees to pay $498.00 for the repairs necessary to make the vehicle right, but we gave an estimate of $665.15. This price discrepancy is the root of the grievance as I understand it. First, let me state that, "No one customer, other automotive repair shop or insurance company will dictate to me what I'm allowed to charge for my goods and services." I track trends and indexes in my industry to keep my shop competitive and profitable. After nineteen years of business I believe I have found a good balance. Second, let's look at the price for labor. The customer states that they paid $117.00 for labor for the original repairs. Travelers insurance allotted only $52.00 for labor. When we called Travelers insurance about the low amount for labor, it was then that they issued a supplement of an additional $43.00. That brings the total for labor to $95.00, still short of the original amount.Third, the price of the right front ABS wheel speed sensor. This is where I found the biggest difference if price. We had a price of 279.23 and Travelers insurance only issued the amount of $182.73. Upon reviewing this difference I found the part online for the same amount of $182.73. I called the customer and explained that even though we were still short about $14.00, after other price adjustments, that we would be able to complete the repairs for the amount issued from Travelers insurance. On 10/10/2017 the customer agreed to the repairs and was contacted on 10/12/2017 that the repairs are complete. As or today the vehicle is ready for delivery. I hope this helps to clear up any questions regarding this matter, but I can't help but think that this matter should have never been referred to the Revdex.com.  Sincerely,Kevin [redacted]
