A guy who said his name was [redacted] , from S.C., was driving by our house and said he noticed we had a metal roofThat his "Grandfather's business" was doing Barn roof painting in the area [redacted] Farms) and they had some "left over" silver paint and for $900, could paint our roof'sI told him we were retired and we would have to think about it - he dropped the price to $and could start "now", as his crew was between jobsI asked if they had their own insurance and he said they didI asked for a business card and said y spouse and I would discuss it and call himHe gave a "generic business card" with a printed phone number of: XXX-XXX-XXXX and it said " [redacted] - Quality Painting"The above number of XXX-XXX-XXXX he wrote on the back of the card as his cell numberI checked the internet for his name and scams in painting and drive-way seal popped upHe didn't get our money or businessThought you would like to know that they "are in the OH area"

I talked to *** Sherlock when he quoted sealing the roof on my shop My concern was the overspray*** assured me they would do a good job and there would not be any overspray on the building walls That was not the case at all The overspray got all over the building walls, utility trailers etc *** assured me he would clean this upTwo weeks later......He will not take my calls nor has he been back

they have been spending time here in western new york spray painting roofs (both barn roofs and home roofs). they should stick to barn roofs becauce they made such a mess of my house siding and roof. when I hired them I thought that they would be more in control of how they painted. All they did was to put a ladder up and spray wildly at the roof . The paint was a silver asphalt coating. I just had new white siding installed on the house which got covered with silver overspray. They made no attempt to cover the house before they sprayed painted. all they were interested in was spraying the roof and moving on to the next project. When I told them that I wouldn't pay until they cleaned up the house. It was such a mess that they decided to spray the house . They never covered the windows or two brown roofs(one over the porch, the other in a room on the back of the house. when they spray painted the siding it came out of the spray gun so heavy that it was dripping down the siding. I grabbed a paint brush and tried to wipe the dripping paint as best I could but there still is a lot of run marks on the new siding. I am still trying to get the white and silver paint of f of my brown roofs and off of my windows.I am absolutely discusted with these guys . I guess these guys are up here working in new york because the people down in north augusta,sc . already know what a sloppy job they get when they hire them. I learned a hard lesson. From now on I will ask for references before I hire. If I would have done that in the beginning I would have hired a professional. If you like a lot of problems hire these guys.
