This is the most dishonest mechanic I have dealt with in my lifeIn March I brought my Classic Mercedes convertible to Evia Motors on the advice of a mechanic, who said that Evia worked on foreign carsThe car would intermittently refuse to start after it had been used, leaving me stranded at a store, etcIn August of the same year the proprietor of Evia, Bill, informed me that the car was readyI picked it up, drove to Interstate and went approximately miles when the car died in the center lane I managed to play with the ignition and got off the interstate My wife came and we drove to Evia Motors, as they never answer their phone or return calls NEVER! They picked up the car, said they would get to the bottom of what was wrong and fix it We didn’t hear from them although we attempted to contact them repeatedlyAround March of I called Evia Auto Sales, to which Evia is connectedThey do answer their phones I told them that they needed to do something or I would file a complaint with the DMV They asked me to wait and they would have him call meHe did and guaranteed the car would be ready by the summerIn early July I had Pottersville Garage go to Glens Falls to pick up the car, which Evia claimed was ready When they got there the proprietor, Bill, called me to say that as they were driving the car onto the flatbed the rear wheel locked, that he didn’t want to send it like that, would fix it and personally drive the car to us, some miles away, on Wednesday night Needless to say he didn’t arrive He said he would be here at 6PMAt 9PM I left him a message saying I was still waitingIn the morning he called and said he had gotten as far as Warrensberg, two exits south of us and the car died, so he had taken it back to Glens Falls Don’t ask me how, but it would be fixed and he would drive it up the following Wednesday I wish I could say I didn’t believe him but I want to trust people Of course he didn’t comeFor a second time I hired the Pottersville Garage to get the car When they arrived Bill wasn’t thereThey took retrieved the carI have not heard from him sincemonths after I first brought the car to Evia, it is sitting in my drivewayIt doesn’t run The tires were significantly low and could not possibly have been driven on, which puts the lie to their saying it was driven to WarrensburgI don’t believe that Evia Motors did any work on the car It is in worse running condition than it was when it was brought to him
