To whom It may concern:I was promoting a client appreciation day on January 23rd 2013 from 10am-8pm.  On a normal day to day process any client who would like to get a tattoo must put a minimum of a $40.00 deposit down depending on the size of the tattoo. It cost at least $40.00 for myself or...

any of my tattoo artist to set up properly for a tattoo. This includes a Sterile environment, Disinfectants, Décor, Disinfected, cling-wrapped worktable or area, Disposable gloves, Tattoo machines, Tattoo power supply, Sealed sterilized or disposable needles & tubes, Barrier film, Cling wrap, Ink caps, Ink, Petroleum jelly, Spray or squeeze bottles, Stencil & applicator, Green soap and Paper towels. Setting up a tattoo workstation in a professional environment starts with one important requirement-sterility. Having a clean, sterile environment is always the top priority for the safety of all clients. When running an event my ad I promoted read the following: Hey all were going to be doing a client appreciation day tomorrow at Evil Emporium ([redacted]). Stop by from 10-am to 8pm for $20 2x2 $40 2x3 or $60 3x3. Come in with you own design or pick from some out our artwork. Great way to spend a Saturday and check out everything we have been doing at the shop. First come first serve. Walk-ins only all day. Come early to get on the list of your favorite artist. Thanks for your support![redacted] came in to get cherub tattoo added to a ribbon she already had. She asked if I could fix the ribbon which I advised that the price would cost more because I was doing extra work to correct the ribbon that was created by another tattoo artist. She stated she was fine with that. When the tattoo was completed she stated that she loved the tattoo and even stated that her husband wanted to get some work done and would come in to make an appointment. After every tattoo I do ask all clients if there are any corrections that need to be made. When I asked Mrs. [redacted] she stated that the tattoo was perfect and was 100% satisfied with the work. Because this was a special event I was running I do not offer a one month touch up.  As well as I cannot guarantee specific times for the walk-Ins. I am very passionate about every tattoo I work on and work hard to provide the best experience for my clients. I do not rush tattoos. I do my best to keep my times but they are not always guaranteed. With any special events the wait time for a tattoo can be a 3 to 5 hour wait. Being a successful tattoo artist requires the ability to work with individuals in all kinds of situations.  And, generally speaking, you’ll be doing it amongst a group of people who already have some pretty set ideas and opinions. I understand that. When Mrs. [redacted] messaged me that she was not satisfied with the work and would like for me to correct the mistake, I ask her why she did not express the concern at the moment I created the work. Not to mention I had everything already set up to fix anything my client/clients are not satisfied with.  She did not respond and just kept on insisting I fix the tattoo. I advised Mrs. [redacted] that I would gladly fix the tattoo and even compromised and dropped the price down to $20.00 from $40.00 to set up my station to perform the work. I expressed my regular rates and was willing to work with Mrs. [redacted] but she then became very unprofessional and was not willing to compromise with me.  I am willing to take a look at the tattoo but if there is any work that she would like me to complete I do require a $40.00 set up fee. I am still willing to offer the $20.00 rate I had originally offered Mrs. [redacted]. I am a very respectable business man. I do my best to please all clients but I have to also protect my integrity as an artist. I would never show retaliation, hatred or animosity towards any individual. I treat others with respect but expect to be treated with respect as well.   Thank youRichard V[redacted]Owner and Tattoo Artist of Evil Emporium of Tattoos###-###-####[redacted]
