Review: This complaint relates to the billing practices of the company. There has been more than one occasion when I was charged twice for my gym membership. I was then able to have my overpayment credited to future months bills after numerous attempts to get in contact with the owner and billing administrator named [redacted]. This was a huge hassle and cost me money in bank overdraft fees.

When I cancelled my membership in June I was told I owed one more months of membership ($39.99) and an annual service fee that they charge to upgrade the gym services ($24). The day that I cancelled my membership (6/25/15) my PNC Debit card was charged 63.99, which was for the annual service fee as well as the last month of my membership. I was then billed again through their automatic payment system on 6/29/15 for another $24. I called and raised the issue about the double billing and was told they would send me a check to my house to refund me for the overbilling. It has been 2 weeks and I still have not recieved a check.Desired Settlement: Due to being overbilled more than one time througout my membership as well as being double billed at the time of termination I would like all of the charges that were charged to my debit card in June to be refunded to me ($87.99). I am certainly owed at least the $24 because I was double billed, but also feel that I should be refunded the additional $63.99 I was charged due to the horrible treatment I received from this business, in particular the billing administrator, [redacted]. Also, I was told I had to turn my key fob in the day I terminated my membership. Therefore, it does not add up to me that I would be charged for a months of service that I can not even use as without the key fob I can not enter the gym. Also, I find that it is ridiculous that a business can not get their billing system straight. I know for a fact that there is 3 others who have been over billed by this business on more than one occasion as well. I have tried numerous attempts to call them and get a status about the supposed check that was being sent to my house to no avail. I can not even leave them a message because their voicemail is currently filled. Overall due to the hassle I have gone through, the overbilling, as well as not being able to use the gym after being charged for a months of service I fee that I should be refunded the entire $87.99 that was charged to me.
