In speaking with Michael I have agreed to reimburse him for the charges he incurred of $358.43 for goodwill purposes.  [redacted] is working on attaining a copy of the invoice and sending it me, once this is received I will have the check issued.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
[redacted]

We apologize about any confusion in this matter.  Shortly after Tori took delivery of her 2010 sport trac she had a few issues.  We offered to take care of any issues at no charge and at Tori's convenience.   It was offered to her on multiple occasions which she never showed up to...

have to the car looked at other than the first time, which I believe we were not able to duplicate her concern or if we did, we couldn't fix it at the time and asked her to come back to have the repairs performed.  this is when all she wanted to do was return to car.  we told here on multiple occasions that we would happily fix the car for free and give her a loaner at no charge, but she never answered or showed up to have the car fixed.  when she was told that we would be more than happy to look at and fix the car at no charge that is when she stopped returning our calls.  she attempted to reach out to me (Jay [redacted]) and I attempted to reach back out to her to discuss the matter.  Tori and I missed each other a couple of times and she spoke with my [redacted] about getting together with me to discuss the matter in person.  The time that he and her set up came and went and I called her with no return phone call to see what may have happened.  I know she said the same thing, so I didn't know if there was a miscommunication, with her and my [redacted] as to when we were supposed to meet.  so when we stopped hearing from her, I was a bit concerned that we may have had an unresolved issue.  some time passed and I called her once again with no response.  then we see a Revdex.com complaint. and here we are.  a few weeks ago we get a call from our credit card processing department at the bank about Tori disputing her 2000 down payment on the car and that we were not going to be paid the 2000 down payment she put on the car.  I wouldn't think you can dispute a 2000 down payment on a car that you are responsible for if you are disgruntled.  I get that she is frustrated, but in the state of Wisconsin, you cant just return a car if you are not happy.  some dealers may have left her high and dry on the repairs, however we have been in business since 1964 and have not built a long standing reputation in the community by not taking care of people like Tori when they have a problem.  she didn't hear what she wanted to hear and then wrote off the effort of us having a good and cost free solution to her problem.  I would have really liked to help her out with this issue at any time, but when she found out she could not return the car, she shut down.  I am not sure why someone would turn down getting an issue on a used vehicle fixed at no charge???

Good morning [redacted],I wanted to let you know that I still have not heard from Ewald Hartford Ford. They still have not done anything to resolve my issue either.Thank you,[redacted]

Review: Bought a car within 4 months the clutch was completely shot. The car was gone through so I was told. It wasn't ,the clutch was completely shredded and the exhaust was cracked. And they never did an oil change. I would think that if you pay 20,000 plus for a car it would have been gone through. I called twice and they told me it would cost me $2100 for a new clutch. wouldn't help me out at all. I drive the car back and forth to work thats it. I have been driving stick for 20 years and have never had a problem till now.Desired Settlement: I would like them to refund me for getting the clutch fixed. If they would of went through the car it would have been caught.

Response:

The General Sales Manager and Service Director at our Hartford location spoke with the customer regarding this matter. As it was our undersanding that the vehicle had not be diagnosed it was offered to him to have this service performed, with the understanding that the dealership would provide some assistance towards the cost of the needed repairs. Due to the fact that this used vehicle was purchased months previously any offer of assistance was done so for goodwill purposes with the understanding that the repair would be performed within the Ewald Automotive Group. The customer declined this offer stating that he already determined himself that the clutch required replacement and that his preference was to have the service performed elsewhere.
