Exalt Model & Talent Agency

Review: Completed a job in June 2015 for Exalt Model and Talent Agency that was to pay $500 USD, with 80% to myself and 20% to Exalt, as stated in the contract. I emailed and called numerous times after receiving no contact from them regarding payment. After 5 months I finally I got [redacted], the owner, on the phone and he advised me to email him my address so he could send the check, which he should have already had on file from the previous job I completed, for which payment had indeed been received. I have emailed and called continuously since then and have received no response of any kind. I finally was able to speak to his business partner, [redacted]y, and she said he had been difficult to work with and "off the grid" as of late. She said she had just recently abandoned her work with him in lieu of his bad business practices, and told me "good luck" getting my payment.Desired Settlement: I am requesting the full $500 payment as outlined in the job description, plus $50 for every day after the delivery of this claim that the matter is not resolved.

Bret C[redacted], the owner of exalt, is completely unproffessional. He would took 9 months to pay me for my jobs, while some not pay at all. Then he would qould double dip on his cut. I would land a job that paid me and the 20% agency fee, but before I would get paid bret would take another 20% from my check. I don't know if thats how things arw asposed to be done but it really felt like I was being screwed over. Bret was full of lies and bt when it came to getting paid. He would constantly try to say that he had already paid me for a job or would say he just mailed it and I would never recieve it. He frustrates his models to the point where they give up trying to get there money so he keeps the cash.

Review: Modeling service was rendered on March 11, 2014. Payment has not been received. Numerous emails has been unanswered, and phone calls not returned. The owner of Exalt, [redacted], finally calls me on June 17, 2014 to give me an excuse that the check was mailed weeks ago from his accounting company after I sent an email stating I will be taking legal actions. When I asked for the accounting company, he said he/Exalt is handling all payments going forward. He stated he was putting the check in the mail that day and if I don't receive it in two days to contact him. No check arrived in mail. He also claimed he has been out of town in LA for a shoot and said his employee, [redacted] (agent in SF office) was suppose to take care of the payments. He answered my call on June 9, 2014 and never indicated he was out of town. When I asked [redacted] about my payment, she directed me to [redacted]. Exalt apparently has a reputation of not paying, as shown in reviews made by people on Yelp.Desired Settlement: I would like to collect on my $300.00 payment owed plus interest of $100.00 for each day Exalt continues to make excuses and avoid payment. I would also like 2 copies of the ExploraLAB book. Client said copies of books would be sent to Exalt to be distributed to all talent on project.
