Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/06/13) */
In response, Mr***, has a learners permit to obtain a CDL and does not have any experience in fabrication or transportation just to give a history of experience, which would be NONE! The other half of WE, that we will call MD, has been a
customer here for a couple years and he has driven tractor trailer for several yearsWe do not know Mr*** and had never met him and did not know anything about his involvement until they arrived hereMD is the one that scheduled the truck in and told us what we were going to doHe made several calls here gathering informationWhen they got here on Thurs.(which ETA for time of arrival changed several times) measurements had to be taken so that we knew how much steel and what sizes to orderInitially, when MD called we were supposed to fabricate and install a trailer hitchThen closer to arrival he added install a light bar on the back and wire up tail lights and install fenders over the drive tires and they were to be furnished ( by customer) WITH bracketsWhen the fenders got here they had NO bracketsThey too had to be fabricated, then installedThurswhen we called to order the steel after getting measurements off the truck, they couldn't get it cut in time to start the next day (Friday)We called another place and they were twice as high but could have the steel ready on Friday AMThe customer MD decided to wait for the cheaper steel till Monday to save moneyOur schedule was pretty full for Monday and putting this off to save money was going to make it tight for us to finishOn Monday first thing we sent a driver to pickup the steel (customer not charged for) and brought it backThe light bar was installed and wired up MondayThe hitch was started on Monday afternoon and finished Tuesday afternoonAt 5:00PM we then started on the brackets for the fenders because we were told by MD that they needed to be in KY to pickup a load on Wednesday SO, employees all on OVERTIME worked from 5:00PM Tuestill 2:30AM Wedin order to get the truck doneWhen we came in Wedmorning the truck was still here, the load cancelledWhen shops charge hourly rates it is with the understanding that is for person workingWhen people are working on the project that is $per hour for each workerprocedure everywhereFurther more, $per hour is a very low shop rateMost shops around here are over $per hourAlso, we furnished one of our shop bays for customer to coat fenders with a product to reinforce them and make them last longerNo charge for thatWhen the bill was figured on WedMD took the figure out to the truck where Mr*** had stayed the entire timeI never saw him the entire time from introduction to finished jobHe then came storming into my office, with an attitude and was apparently upset with the amount of the billHe stood there trying to tell me all about how my employees didn't know what they were doing and weren't worth their wagesEach one of my employees have years or more experienceMD kept shushing Mr*** and was very embarrassed with his behaviorTrying to work with them, because it was obvious they didn't have enough money to pay for it, I made an agreement with MD to pay $and pay the rest out in paytsMr*** still wasn't happy and started cussing me and that is when I demanded him to leave my officeI finished the down paytand paytschedule with MD and he called his boss and told her about the incidentI also talked to her and she apologized to me for Mr***'s behaviorMD was ready to drop Mr*** off at a bus station and send him homeMr*** has a lot to learn about the business that he has chosen and he might take a little advice and learn the business before he goes spouting off to the Revdex.com and knows nothing about what he is talking aboutWe feel that our charges were very fair and that we worked very hard to complete this job
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/06/14) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
First off the facts that are mentioned above are completely fabricated for lack of better words and completely irrelevant to the issueAs mentioned in my previous response to the Revdex.com the hours worked on OUR truck are completely wrongThe company C&C are charging us for hours of workhours of labor can be confirmed by "MD" .the other are fabricated (again for lack of better words)and furthermore MD can confirm that the labor charges are rather high himself for the sketchy work that was actually completed..I stand firm with my claimsand in addition if we are charged the full price they are demandingMD and MYSELF will pay the full amountBUT I WILL NOT BE DISMISSING this claim
